The decline of our society began around 1990 as far as I can determine. Hey, at least you mark it 30 years after JC does Indeed. When music became about bustin caps, 'gettin paid', gettin you b*****s to work the streets and whatnot that was it for society.

Teen-abstinence is also increasing since 1991, DESPITE the continued cultural promotion of sexual activity, the mocking of chastity and the dismissal of teaching abstinence in public schools. As I said earlier: On the upside, I think a growing fraction of the current generation of kids is starting to understand and see the utter failure that was the "sexual revolution", and can see the destruction of lives, even among their peers, that sexual-promiscuity, sexual-obsessions and addictions has on those who still fall for the failure called "sexual liberation".
There IS a growing segment of kids today who are becoming more "morally-conservative" {cue the howls of horror from the religiophobes} regarding sexuality, who are today's "counter-cultural" kids rebelling against the sexually-permissive culture built by the older generations that grew up in the 60s to 80s.How much lust is "acceptable"? I would believe teen birthrate and pregnancy stats over abstinence stats. One is quantifiable, the other is not. Who cares how much is acceptable or unacceptable? It's what can be done about it from your perspective? I think I know what you would prefer, but I'd like to see you type it out.

Hey, we live in an alleged free country. When you have that you get the good with the bad. There are a lot of movies and TV shows that I enjoy from the past that would never get made today and I do think for the most part it's a shame.

I'd like to also see stats on age and teen pregnancies. We're living in a time where there are 50 year old great grandmothers.

I dont agree with this view aka moral relativism. Some things are bad and that should be recognized. Songs glorifying murder rape and robbery are bad. But they are popular. There's one song about how to commit home invasions. Lyrics go something like this is how y'all commit a home invasion-first y'all find a house fulla asians-

Well YOU were the one who asked me how much masturbation is "acceptable". I figured you had an interest in discussing "acceptable" amounts of such things. If you don't, that's fine. Then don't pose such questions if you're not interested in what is "acceptable" levels of such things. In the 60's and 70's, the culture changed, not initially through legislation, but through people (mainly Boomers) changing their attitudes. THEN legislation followed.

The decline of our society began around 1990 as far as I can determine. The 1990's were the fruit of the 1960s/70s.

I also dont agree with the viewpoint "murder is bad" "Well ya gotta take the good with the bad after all-" Murder is bad, no one is saying it isn't Murder is a lot different than pre marital sex or masturbation, right? The last I checked, in the US pre marital sex and masturbation are not against the law.

I had a musician friend who was older than me by a few years and he told me the 70s were unlike anything anyone can experience today. He said it was almost normal to go to a house party and have sex with multiple partners that night. Everyone was having sex with everyone. Once AIDS hit, that put a quick stop to everything. Nobody wanted to die over a good time. Since then, you'd have seen a sharp decline in sexual activity but the promotion of birth controls like condoms and increase in pharmaceutical to combat STDs might change that. But I will also add based on what I see and experience in the real world everyone is not having sex with everyone like they did in the 70s. It just doesn't happen like that any more and there are probably several factors. Women are obviously the gate keepers and empowering women has a lot to do with it as does men understanding that there there can be expensive consequences that come out of just one night of fun.

Pretty accurate I'd say. Btw.... what is this "women" that you speak of? What's a woman?
