Sunshine Superman.

Sunshine came softly through my a-window today
Could've tripped out easy a-but I've a-changed my ways
It'll take time, I know it but in a while
You're gonna be mine, I know it, we'll do it in style
'Cause I made my mind up you're going to be mine
I'll tell you right now
Any trick in the book now, baby, all that I can find
Everybody's hustlin' just to have a little scene
When I say we'll be cool I think that you know what I mean
We stood on a beach at sunset, do you remember when?
I know a beach where, baby, a-it never ends
When you've made your mind up forever to be mine
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm
I'll pick up your hand and slowly blow your little mind
'Cause I made my mind up you're going to be mine
I'll tell you right now
Any trick in the book now, baby, all that I can find
Superman or Green Lantern ain't got a-nothin' on me
I can make like a turtle and dive for your pearls in the sea, yeah
A you-you-you can just sit there a-thinking on your velvet throne
'Bout all the rainbows a-you can a-have for your own
When you've made your mind up forever to be mine
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm
I'll pick up your hand and slowly blow your little mind
When you've made your mind up forever to be mine
I'll pick up your hand
I'll pick up your hand

[Wish I Could Fly Like] Superman
The Kinks

Lyrics
Woke up this morning, started to sneeze
I had a cigarette and a cup of tea
I looked in the mirror what did I see?
A nine stone weakling with knobbly knees
I did my knees bend, press ups, touch my toes
Had another sneeze and I blew my nose
I looked in the mirror at my pigeon chest
I had to put on my clothes because it made me depressed
Surely there must be a way
For me to change the shape I'm in
Dissatisfied is what I am
I want to be a better man
Superman, Superman
Wish I could fly like Superman
Superman, Superman
I want to be like Superman
I want to be like Superman
Superman Superman
Wish I could fly like Superman
Woke up this morning, what did I see?
A big black cloud hanging over me
I switched on the radio and nearly dropped dead
The news was so bad that I fell out of bed
There was a gas strike, oil strike, lorry strike, bread strike
Got to be a Superman to survive
Gas bills, rent bills, tax bills, phone bills
I'm such a wreck but I'm staying alive
I'd really like to change the world
Save it from the mess it's in
I'm too weak, I'm so thin
I'd like to fly but I can't even swim
Superman, Superman
Wish I could be like Superman
Superman, Superman
I want to fly like Superman
Superman, Superman
I wish I could fly like Superman
Superman, Superman
Wish I could be like Superman
Look in the paper, what do I see?
Robbery, violence, insanity
Hey girl, we've got to get out of this place
There's got to be something better than this
I need you, but I hate to see you this way
If I were Superman then we'd fly away
Superman, Superman
I want to be like Superman
Superman, Superman
Wish I could fly like Superman
Superman, Superman
I want to be like Superman
Superman, Superman
Wish I could fly like Superman
Superman, Superman
I want to be like Superman
Superman, Superman
Wish I could be like Superman
Superman, Superman
I want to be like Superman
Superman, Superman
Wish I could be like Superman
Superman, Superman
I want to be like Superman
Superman, Superman
Wanna fly like Superman

Catch Me Now I'm Falling
Song by The Kinks

Lyrics
I remember, when you were down
And you needed a helping hand
I came to feed you
But now that I need you
You won't give me a second glance
Now I'm calling all citizens from all over the world
This is captain America calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now I'm falling
Help me now I'm calling you
Catch me now I'm falling
I'm in your hands, it's up to you
Catch me now I'm falling
I remember when you were down
You would always come running to me
I never denied you and I would guide you
Through all of your difficulties
Now I'm calling all citizens from all over the world
This is captain America calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now I'm falling
Help me now I'm calling you
Catch me now I'm falling
I'm in your hands, it's up to you
Catch me now I'm falling
When you were broke you would come to me
And I would always pull you round
Now I call your office on the telephone
And your secretary tells me that she's sorry,
But, you've gone out of town.
This is captain America calling
This is captain America calling
Help me now I'm calling you
Catch me now I'm falling
I'm in your hands, it's up to you
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
I stood by you through all of your depressions
And I lifted you when you were down
Now it's your chance to do the same for me
I call your office and your secretary tells me
That you've gone out of town
This is captain America calling
This is captain America calling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
I was the one who always bailed you out
Of your depressions and your difficulties
I never thought that you would let me down
But the next time you're in trouble
Better not come running to me
Now I'm calling all citizens from all over the world
This is captain America calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling
Catch me now I'm falling

Bought some comics at the flea this weekend, after signing up for golf and before playing. These early birds get worms!

Did some nosing around this weekend, nothing much out there for me. Hit up two garage sales, one had sold them before I got there, the guy said, "I had a box and the guy took them all for fifty cents each. They were Canadian and he was pretty happy." Not sure what that means, they were Canadian price variants? Not something anyone at a garage sale would realize or care about, but nice score dude I guess.

Second garage sale was two nice older ladies who had a bin full of childhood comics, worn out Archies, Richie Rich, etc. Nothing there for me.

Also hit up the flea this morning. I bought one comic and two paperbacks for $7 total.

It's fine, I've got enough stuff.

Ex-Men were weird.

1977 was Claremont X-Men for me! I had the fever through at least 1983.

and Tarzan #1 by Marvel. Great John Buscema art. 1977 was the year.

I lied Scooby Doo #1 by Marvel was cool as well.

Junk Guy texted me and asked if I had any comics I wanted to sell him, said he's having trouble sourcing new longs the last month or so. I told him I've got a long worth of low grade Bronze and a couple more longs of Copper/Modern for him. I've got a box of magazines that'll fit in with the rest of his store too.

Store credit will be fine, he's treated me right for a few years now.

I got longs up the wazoo.  you ever in my  neck of the woods we can work a deal.  SA and BA with many books that have spiked like the KISS magazine- $300 at last look.

That Star Wars #1 and Godzilla #1 were the best comics of 1977.

So I dropped off three shorties and a box of magazines for the Junk Guy today. Two boxes were low low grade Bronze DC/Marvel. He gave me $100 in store credit - more than adequate.

He also had about a dozen new longs to look through, but pickings were slim. Only pulled about 20 or so issues, also picked up some other assorted junk.

Also hit up a garage sale this morning that advertised comics, it was a bust, nothing good. There were some interesting digest sized cheesecake/nudies from 1962 mixed in. Condition was low or I would've bought them.
