I've only ever had them from Fish n Chips takeaways and pubs in the UK. (my wife is a Brit and MIL lives in Blackpool, UK) That's right, you're a man of the world. I've only been out of the country once and it wasn't very impressive, just Seattle to Vancouver. The "Greggy Pilgrimage"

Red Robin has some kick ass steak fries. Any fatter and they're called potato wedges or jo-jos. And around here, I have never seen anyone put curry sauce on their fries in my life. It's not even offered/available at restaurants, you'd have to bring your own from home. RR used to me off years ago by dropping off our food, then never returning in a timely manner to see if anyone wants a 2nd helping of their "Bottomless" Fries. This was back in my weightlifting (and over-eating) days. so I'd Monster size my food (2nd burger patty). If I'd get halfway through the thing without seeing our attendant, or being able to get their attention (ironically), I'd set it down and turn around in my seat, hoping I'd look like someone who wants something (and embarrassing my wife). I don't Monster size them anymore, but now when they drop off the food I just tell them to start up another batch right then. I rarely finish them, but my grandson likes to take them for leftovers.

Poor service in restaurants is far too common these days. I'm trying to get myself into the habit of writing a letter of complaint afterwards. I sent one the other day and the manager's response positive, assuring us we'd have much better service on our next visit.

Gearing up for a big pot of beef stew. The fall weather always make me crave it.

Came home to a big cooked dinner courtesy of Batwoman. It was a huge plate of healthy steamed veg (cabbage, broccoli, carrots, potatoes), off set with the fattiest, tastiest chunk of gammon you've ever seen

Haven't had anything like that in ages. That's the stuff. SOOO tasty. Mrs Bats boils it. It helps retain flavour and moisture.

I never really understood why we had a "what are you cooking" thread and not a "what are you eating" thread. Anyway, the Christmas market is back in town and I couldn't resist the pork and chilli footlong... It was delicious. No snickering in the back row

I never really understood why we had a "what are you cooking" thread and not a "what are you eating" thread. I think because Ditch is such a Rennaisance man and cooks so much that he thinks others do too so he started this thread My brother is like that, I am not. I can't cook for .

No snickering in the back row We went to a place in Pasadena this afternoon and got some hot dogs and fries. I didn't take any pictures of them but this is what we had. And an order of Carne Asada fries.

I can cook but, for some unknown reason, my wife always insists on doing the cooking...
