Did the old labels really look this bad? Particularly the grade font...*shudder* Yeah...they STILL look awful, but they used to be worse. They desperately need to inject some marketing/advertising expertise into their product launch. For example, those scratched up cases put them in the same cesspool as CGC at a time when they need to be better in all categories to have a fighting chance at survival. |

An example of CBCS’s Raw Grading Service. After grading comic is returned to customer in a Mylite 2 & fullback. The example here is labeled “altered” as restoration was found by graders, but further details aren’t made available to the customer beyond that. isn't the population report public? there are many sites that have links to other entity info that may be of assistance to a collector.
i get that it may be a little misleading, but it is labeled as "new", and i would think it does cgc credit, because it is sort of saying 'our info sucks, so use theirs".
if a collector prints out a cgc report and then takes it to cbcs or any other lie entity, is that not permissible?
can't cbcs access the report?.
i am simply curious why this is considered possible shenanigans.
auto manufacturers, as an example use info of other manufacturers on a daily basis and have links for comparison. i am not sure how this is so different, really.

It's just embarrassing for CBCS to make an error like that. Like when they spelled Spider-Man wrong on their big promo. It took them so long to create a census that this is just the hilarious cherry on top. They do have ex-CGC employees working there tho, so it coulda been an inside job |
