I watched this the other day. I forgot how much I liked this movie. I bet I've seen it a dozen times or more. I love the special effects models.
There's one disturbing scene where Roy Thinnes' character physically roughs up his wife. She was berating him for being sterile and not man enough to get her pregnant, and then he produces her birth control pills that she's secretly been taking. He grabs her by the jaw and throws her around. Oddly enough, I've seen this kind of thing often in movies from this period.
If you don't remember Thinnes, he's the actor who played David Vincent in The Invaders 1967 TV series - I've been watching those too.
