You really have to take Marvel movies with a grain of salt, and you have to suspend all common sense when it comes to Sony comic movies. Still, the Xman and Wolverine franchises sucked royal balls.
AntMan and IronMan were good. Not awesome, but good. Guardians was entertaining, but Vol2 was seriously lacking depth. Thor was bleh.
I am looking forward to Dr. Strange2, the first one was actually rather well done.
Anyone seen Joker? From non comic guys, I get the feeling it delves into mental disorder deeply, have heard people say it makes them extremely uncomfortable. I'd like a comic guy opinion on it, all I know so far is that you have no reference until the end of the movie, basically. Personally, I can tolerate Leif Phoenix, but overall, his acting isn't all that great. As for this iteration of joker, I think I'll probably like it, for someone akined him to Ledgers Joker. I liked Ledgers take, but still feel Nicholson did a great job. I wont bother with suicide squads joker, for one, I refuse to watch that movie and two, I can't stand the actor, whatever his name is. Keeps escaping me. I think his best role was Paul Allen in American Psycho, and his only good scene was when he was hacked up by Christian Bale.
Is it even set in the DC Universe?

Is it even set in the DC Universe? I think the answer is 'yes', but not part of the JL storyline they're squeezing out. If that's the case, part of me wonders; Even if it's a good film, what's the point?

Today I watched Ready or Not (2019). A really good original horror film.

I'm on a tear, two movies in one week! Finally saw Batman Forever and rewatched Bowfinger. I enjoyed the Batman flick. Loved the costumes, colors, and crazy fight scenes.
Would've enjoyed the Pink Panther marathon. It's been ages since I saw any of those.

Watched Sinister last night. Surprisingly good for a post-millennium horror flick.

We watched 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" I like these 'history reimagined' films Tarantino's been doing. Maybe Brad Pitt should tackle some historical terrorists next.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker...not a huge fan of the newer trilogy of films, but this was better than I expected it would be. Highly watchable, enjoyable, but mainly for my love of the Original Trilogy films, nostalgia.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker...not a huge fan of the newer trilogy of films, but this was better than I expected it would be. Highly watchable, enjoyable, but mainly for my love of the Original Trilogy films, nostalgia. Good to hear, and a review worth considering since it doesn't seem you're a fan who hates the film before you see it, looking for reasons to hate it. I love the originals like everyone else, but none of these films will ever be like them- Not for the people who grew up with them. We saw them "in a world" where Star Wars didn't yet exist. No one will ever have that experience again. If I walk away entertained; mission accomplished. My main disappointment is how the INCREDIBLE Library of novels from The Expanded Universe were simply removed from the storyline because Disney bought the Franchise. The 19 novels from The Yuuzhan Vong War are outstanding, but The Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn is an absolute must read!

I'm not looking for a reason to dislike Rise Of Skywalker, but I know my expectations will be too high that I'll want it to compare to the first three. I'm too biased to judge it on it's own merit.
