Woo woo! Both Babes in Toyland and A Christmas Story were on at the same time yesterday morning. All I needed was Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas for the hat trick.

I'm not looking for a reason to dislike Rise Of Skywalker, but I know my expectations will be too high that I'll want it to compare to the first three. I'm too biased to judge it on it's own merit. Just wait until they remake the original trilogy!

Just wait until they remake the original trilogy! I never even thought of that! You're right, though. It's likely been bandied about by the people who stand to make a dollar off it. Ashton Kutcher as Han Solo? *shudder*

Do you think it'll be done as a musical?

Do you think it'll be done as a musical? Most likely.

Whoopie Goldberg as Yoda
Whichever young Disney Actresses from one of those sass-mouthed kid shows of theirs will be Leia Skywalker, saving the young Prince Luke Organa from the Death Star.
In a bizarre twist, Liam Neeson as Obi Wan Kenobi.
Shaquille O'Neil as Chewbacca

This week I've watched two movies worth mentioning... Us (2019) and Rust Creek (2018).
No spoilers here.
Us started off great... A nice suspenseful, creepy atmosphere to set the mood. The next 20 minutes were fairly entertaining whilst settling you into the characters and scene. The "horror" kicked off at around the 25 minute mark and it was very entertaining for the first 10 minutes. Then it severely went downhill, resorting to typical family in peril tactics mixed with attempts at humour. It started picking up again towards the end but the plot explanation was so absurd it never truly recovered. Try again, Jordan Peele.
Rust creek I probably would've given a miss if I'd read the synopsis but I happened along it whilst channel hopping. The film was incredibly well shot for what I assume was a low budget affair. The plot was fairly average, but well-paced and entertaining. Recommended if you have a spare 2 hours.

I watched these 2 Disney live action movies today...
Rascal (1969) starring Steve Forrest and Bill Mumy
No Deposit, No Return (1976) starring Don Knotts and Darren McGavin
I don't recall ever seeing these when I was growing up...both movies were pretty good.

I don't remember either of these. I'll keep an eye out. I haven't really seen much Don Knott's. Andy Griffith and Three's Company, that's about it.

Our town had a drive-in and they would have theme nights, sometimes for the adults (you ever see porn on a drive-in screen??), some "cult classic" stuff (Hendrix movie/Song Remains the Same double bill), and for the kids. I definitely remember seeing The Apple Dumpling Gang with Escape To Witch Mountain, which both came out in 1975.

I'm sad I missed the days of theaters showing porn.Yeah,I'm a bit gross and perverted..but I'd only go in with a partner although other creeps would likely eyeball us
