What are some of everyone's favorite stories in any EC comic? 'Foul Play' always comes to mind. It was so over the top.  PS - Did you see this? |

Are there any good comic shops near you Joe? You said there was one guy with an EC mailer, how's his shop? I used to go to the shop in Greenville/Glocester/Chepachet area, the one that shared space with a pool supply company. I went in one day and the pool place had an accident or something and the whole place reeked of chlorine, I never went back and they went out of business later. Two sisters who used to work at Wonderland opened Green Dragon Comics in that area but I've never been there.

And yes, I was looking forward to the TV reboot, but last I heard, it was a no-go. For some reason, production was put on hold. Not sure why. It's too bad though. I was excited to see which stories they would have filmed.

Some are pretty close-by, and a few are a bit of a drive, but nothing too far.
The guy with the EC mailer is actually in the process of relocating to a larger building so he is still unpacking stock. I'll definitely be checking out his new place within the next few weeks once he is settled in.

Judgement Day of course is a classic. Bill really fought to publish that one as is.
I like the Preachies in SSS. Issue 2 has The Patriots, which is the cover story. Issue 5 has Hate!, a story about anti-Semitism. Remember, this was a time when even the "great" Will Eisner was still putting out racist Spirit strips. Al and Bill had seriously big balls and the courage of their convictions.

Some of my other favorites include "Only Skin Deep," "The New Arrival," "Sucker Bait," and "Political Pull."
