88 today, so yeah, that's cooler than 97... but yeesh. Then the token thunderstorm had to pop up for 15 minutes at 5 or so, ensuring the rest of the day will be like a sauna outside.

Too damn hot today.Walked Penny to the vets three blocks away for her check up and I was angry by the time I got there.Damn sun,shining on me and stuff! I was madder on the way home after the vet bill though  we're both fine. 88 with 58% humidity |

The weather page showed the wind is currently blowing Northwest at 4 kts. Kts is likely a fancy meteorologist abbreviation for 'kites'. You need about a 4-5 kts to fly a normal diamond or dragon kite, maybe 8+ kts for one of those box kites I think.
