Most people don't have A/C where I live because they don't want that mess just for couple of really hot days a year. We just open the windows, use fans, hang out in the pool, etc. Last night it was hot so I had the windows open and the box fan going up on the window sill to pull in the cooler night air. At 3 AM a thunderstorm hit (very unusual). Hurricane level gusts of wind knocked my fan to the floor and woke me up. Then it was thunder, lightning and sporadic rain for about 3 hours. Didn't get much sleep. Uh oh...now it's raining again.

Atmospheric river...I think they love saying that on the news. Anyway, tons of rain today. I walked up to Big 5 Sporting Goods and got completely soaked, but it was fun. Rain pants and coat didn't help much. Remember when we were kids and we'd wear that thick yellow plastic gear with galoshes? I think that's what I need. I love to walk/hike/cycle in the rain.

dihydrogen oxide seems to be being pulled towards the earth's gravitational mass in excessive numbers over here.

dihydrogen oxide seems to be being pulled towards the earth's gravitational mass in excessive numbers over here. I'd strongly suggest against getting any in your mouth. Everyone I know that has at some time tried it has ended up dying. I'm awaiting studies on the obvious link, but the government's doing nothing. Have you seen how much of is in the products and drinks we consume?
