Today has started out foggy, misty but on the warmer side. Seem to be slowly improving. Still going to be around 80 the next two days Another lawn mowing looms...... Virtually no rain means no lawn mowing this week

Pretty windy last night. Last night when I checked there were a couple pizza boxes on my lawn. They were gone by the morning but the wind also blew away the grass seeds my gardener put down a few weeks ago. My lawn was green yesterday, but it's now patches of green.

Does anyone still see birdbaths in people's yards? That was common when I was growing up.

I only see them in fancy homes, like those with a huge front yard. I still see ceramic dogs and flamingos though.

Through my 8th grade year, the neighborhoods around me had birdbaths, little gnomes, and pedestals with a shiny colored ball on top. I don't what the point of those were, but it was colorful. Pretty much every house had at least one thing. Maybe a rooster weather vane or an eagle over the doorway, but something ornamental. I kind of miss that stuff.

Lawn has been mowed. Had to stand under a cold shower afterwards to cool off

I still see some home decorations like the ones you mentioned but mostly in the older, more established, and affluent neighborhood.

Bloody gnomes Sat there with their little fishing rods and smiley faces, serving no purpose whatsoever...

We are definitely not affluent, but also definitely an older neighbourhood. Very nice. Our neighborhood wasn't affluent either, but folks took great care of their yards, trees, gardens and such. The post-war Ozzie & Harriet vibe hadn't yet worn off our couple of blocks apparently.
