My Mum used to listen to Linda Ronstadt all the time. It drove me to heavy metal! That's nothing. One day back around 82 or 83, my dad comes home with an 8 track player that someone at work gave to him, along with a bunch of tapes. Choice stuff like like Helen Reddy, Abba, Kenny Rogers, and others. I still have nightmares. No wonder I buried myself in Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Rush, Triumph, Rainbow, Dio, and various classic rock. My mother had stuff to rival that. Fortunately, my father was into rock, so it was 50/50. I grew up with Status Quo, Deep Purple, Meatloaf, Pink Floyd, The Who... Don't listen to the first three these days.

While I agree that Linda Ronstadt was nicer to look at than your average rock band. (Heart excepted), I still can't stomach the music. And the less said about Jimmy Buffet the better I do like The Eagles though. I REALLY tried to like Heart... I couldn't do it.

Where I am in the U.S., there are about four months where I'm comfortable. October, November, April, and May. However, even in those months there will be weather that is either too hot or too cold for me. Someone needs to invent a Star Trek-like weather modification net If I could live in an area where the temp was mostly 40s through 70s and the dew point never got above 50, (That's fahrenheit. We don't do celsius in this country) I'd be in absolute bliss. I don't think that exists anywhere on earth.

Holy crap! That's it! I wonder what my wife would think? The CA Bay Area has the best weather I've ever experienced. San Diego might be better if you like it a few degrees warmer in the winter.
