I usually get the Trader Joe’s frozen berries. They’re $2.29 per lb., so pretty close in price. For me I think the smaller bags give me more flexibility in regards to freezer space, and I know if I had larger amounts I’d just be eating more berries. Not a bad thing, I suppose. I really need to replace those late night cracker binges with something healthier. I didn't realize their prices were that good. I have one near me, but during the pandemic the lines were awful so I've stayed away.

Their one lb. bag of small frozen Brussels sprouts recently went up to $1.29 and green beans are a pretty good value, too. TJ’s is my go-to for almost all my produce, fresh or frozen.

That's $1.79 at Safeway for most frozen veggies, so that's a great deal. Ok...you talked me into it. I'll brave the lines, but I'll stock up in quantity to make it worth it.

I should try to buy $5 worth.
"McDonald's Egg McMuffin is turning 50 years old, and it's giving the breakfast sandwich a price to match. On Thursday, McDonald's will sell the Egg McMuffin for its original price of 63 cents during breakfast hours (6 am to 10:30 am). The promotion will be offered exclusively on the McDonald's app as the restaurant looks to boost its nationwide rewards program."

($3.05/lb). So, at least near me, I'm getting a better deal at Target ($2.33/lb). But I found good deals on broccoli and green beans, and the beans are better quality than I've found anywhere else. So it was a good visit.

Good Lord...how horrible. The recipe or cabbage rolls in general?
Cabbage rolls are a staple food where I'm from!
On a side note, I had the Mighty Marvel Cookbook from back in the 70's and it was awesome.

I've been drinking mint tea lately. So today I went to the local nursery and bought a mint plant in a 4" plastic pot. Then I went home and transplanted it into a very large container. Looking forward to the fresh leaves it will produce when it gets larger. Doing great so far. Grown a little bit. Had my first mug of mint tea yesterday. Wow! Fresh is so much better than dry. It has a cinnamon spiciness that doesn't come through when using dried leaves. My next idea is to get an induction tea kettle to use with my induction burner. Best way is to bring a magnet to the store and buy it in person after testing it - some stainless steel alloys are non-magnetic, and the ads usually aren't specific.

Me too. In my case it's the Norwegian influence. I love them. I used to make them all the time using my mom's recipe. Maybe I'll make some over Christmas holidays. Damn I miss homemade lefse. No one near me makes that anymore and I'm too lazy to make it myself. It was tradition for each family to make up a huge batch and give it away to friends and family.

My dad's mom called them halupkies, she was Slovakian. Taught my Italian mom the recipe and they appeared on the table several times a year when I was growing up.

A lot of cultures use grape leaves too. Now I'm getting hungry.

A lot of cultures use grape leaves too. Now I'm getting hungry. Yes, although if I'm not mistaken, that's more of an Eastern and Southern Mediterranean thing, isn't it?
