I saw Eyehategod play in the Camden Underworld supporting Crowbar back in 2000.

Neat. What did you think of EHG? Or what was the general audience consensus?

Neat. What did you think of EHG? Or what was the general audience consensus? It was a while back but I seem to remember they got a good reception. It was a very small venue (about 500 people). Crowbar were astounding!
The venue entrance is behind the phone boxes. It's a basement venue. The "Underworld" part is the ticket office.

I've been going there since 1994 and it's still a popular London rock venue today. Over the years I've seen Earth Crisis, Dog Eat Dog, Avenged Sevenfold (not really a fan), Shai Hulud, Rykers to name but a few.

Used to see Earth Crisis a bit back in the 90's and wore one of their hats quite often. Not a vegan sXe guy, but like their songs, passion, and performance. Kind of into Cattle Decapitation the same way. They just sound good to me.

A band like Helmet (not as popular as they used to be but still going strong) will manage a 800 cap venue. More "popular" bands like The Eagles of Death Metal will play a venue with a 2000 capacity.
Depending on their popularity, some US bands will only play London and give the rest of the UK a miss. Mike Muir lost a few friends over here for that...

I'm not sXe or vegan either but always loved Earth Crisis's music. When I saw them at the Underworld, it was still a smoking venue and there were three sXe bands on that bill... You can imagine how well that went down!
I'm sure many would disagree with me but sXe has never really been that big in the UK. In all the gigs I've been to, I've only ever met one guy who stuck at it. I guess we're just too fond of beer in the UK...

I never understood the whole SE thing. A bunch of underage kids who had no access to alcohol, couldn't procure "drugs", and had such poor social skills, or haircuts that they'd never attract a potential mate. I laughed myself silly over this early on. That being said, I think SS Decontrol's "Get It Away" EP is a must-hear for anyone curious about the foundations and early influences of hardcore. I was vegan for about four months years ago and again for most of 2013. My health was never better and I felt great. I'd like to buy in again, but my will power isn't there.

One of the pioneers. One of my favorite bands growing up. We lost something special the day Chuck died.

Fair play to you I wouldn't have the will power. The closest I get to vegetarian these days is just ordering the fries at McDs

A British thrash band by the name of Xentrix (pronounced "Zentrix"). Always loved this album. A little Testament heavy in places and the vocals aren't the best but great music.

Let's just pretend this was the intended song. In context the drummer for Old Grandad is now with Death Angel, so there's that.
