Yikes.
I don't know what it is all about, and don't really care, but, I think the Censored" meme thingy Olympics Award was just won. Stu never ever never nope nada got that many here or on CGC. Not even close.
Kudos. Clean overwhelming win.
Gansta stuff is neat.
Full disclosure: I am not the bestest friend in the whole wide world with the mentioned target, and The Black Pope knows my reasons, but still.......that is a lot of censored thingys. A lot....a really lot. Even in my exasperated Sheldon posts (and I consider that condescending bastidigeidis the poster child of the "Hate Me" Club), I could never match that. I am humbled.

You would miss me if as I would probably miss you if one of us were to suddenly fall of the face of the Earth. I came around when you once mentioned that you believed we shared more similarities than differences and I realized that you might be on to something there. Yah though, not since Charlie Sheen has anyone seen so much 'winning'.

Substitute the word 'popsicle' for the emojis! I don't even know where to begin with this. I don't even know if I want to begin with this. I am going to pop a Kona and catch up on some things.

Yah though, not since Charlie Sheen has anyone seen so much 'winning'. I would tend to agree concerning fondness of a passing cyber acquaintance. I don't think it would reach the absence makes the heart grow fonder level of Lt. Dan and Forrest Gump, but yes. (I chose Lt. Dan for obvious reasons-remember who he married in the movie. God, I am shallow and self-important). On no level am I suggesting a similarity between you and Forrest, but, at the same time, there are much worse comparisons, than to a kind hearted empathetic person who went beyond what is asked of a man in uniform. (I think I wove that into the theme of the latest posts pretty good). Yes, Charlie Sheen comparison for sure. It is funny, because when I posted I was thinking about Sheen and Blue Star meltdown.

Lt. Dan never married in the book. That movie is an abomination the way it twisted and retold the truths of Forrest’s and others lives. Re-telling history for the sake of box office profits. Shameful.

Shameful. I have read the book as well and I prefer the movie. In this case given the portrayal of Gump and the Hanks in general, I preferred the hopeful uplifting portrayal of the character over the cynical way the character was written. I think it is because of that hopefulness that the movie has stood so well over the years. Have you seen Manchester by the Sea? It is a great movie. It is very powerful in its own right especially with the "I can't beat it, I'm sorry." line at the end, but it is not something that I will keep on for long if I come across it on TV. Gump is something that stands the test of time because of simple hope in the face of adversary and how it can be affective in helping others. I think it was a movie that deserves a view from time to time that things can be better.

Shameful. Meh. Get back to me when your azz runs through a jungle saving others. BTW, got somethin against interracial marriages, specifically Causation and Asian? Or, maybe you just missed the point and symbolism and theme of the movie, that Zemeckis was embracing and missed the point of the damage that those that served experienced, and the hope of love and survival regardless of circumstances. Maybe you did not know that Groom served with the 4th in VN, during particularly cynical years....and they were, I can assure you... and was very bitter. He wrote it in 86, at a time when we were just socially becoming aware of the horror that was the VN Vets that survived, and the incredible overwhelming problems the U.S. had to deal with, because of it. Any questions? Or, maybe your empathy meter was broken and twisted and needs to be retold how to process. Abomination? Truths? Really? Nothin but love, Brother. It don't mean nothin'.

"Drugs Are Bad". Stu, Stu, I gave you more credit for originality than you deserve, apparently. That is the best double secret probation name you could think of, to post the hollywood 1892 soliloquy on CGC? Not exactly Shakespeare......

Yes you are obnoxious and self absorbed, but I made every effort to be cordial with you, even after you told me to stop posting on your threads. It was your choice to be oftput by a shill account designed solely for Twobitch (a guy you claim you don't even like and would punch in the face given a chance) that you never would have expected was me and never would have found out unless that rat Kav told you....remember it is your choice...you respond to me (even passive aggressively) and I will respond to you...unless your posts are a figment of my imagination, as you claim I'm delusional and have a skewed version of reality
