Have you seen Manchester by the Sea? It is a great movie. It is very powerful in its own right especially with the "I can't beat it, I'm sorry." line at the end, but it is not something that I will keep on for long if I come across it on TV. Gump is something that stands the test of time because of simple hope in the face of adversary and how it can be affective in helping others. I think it was a movie that deserves a view from time to time that things can be better. I watched this last night and knew nothing about the film until I pressed “play”. I seemed to quickly fall inside Lee’s head. The first 15-20 mins were tough to get through. I was finding Lee much too relatable. Both Lee and Patrick for that matter. The end sort of mimicked how real life is oftentimes. No real closure, just “carry on and go to the next thing”. Brought up a lot of emotions that I’d prefer remain dormant.  |

Yeah, I did not want to give anything away. I believe it deserved the accolades that it received. It was well acted and it made the viewer think. I know people that saw this movie and were saddened, overjoyed that what they went through was represented or acknowledged instead of having the "Hollywood" ending and some were even angry. A film like that is worthy of consideration for being great film. The problem is that it is not a movie that a group of people say, "Let's take that off the shelf and all sit down and watch it." |

I am, though, thinking about making a re-entry and going for the Olympic censored meme Gold. I could win, if I really want to. I could defeat this present Champion, if I want to.
