Naked man tries passing through TSA checkpoint at Detroit Metro AirportlinkyROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) — A naked man attempted to walk through a TSA security check at Detroit Metropolitan Airport's McNamara Terminal Friday morning. According to an airport spokesperson, the incident happened at 6:30 a.m. The man walked up to a checkpoint at the McNamara Terminal and removed his clothing. He then disconnected a stanchion, or barrier, at the checkpoint, and approached a metal detector. The TSA officers didn't allow the man through the detector. Shameka Scott was traveling to Atlanta when she heard commotion and turned to see the naked man running past security. Scott says the man veered around the detector and made it to where TSA agents screen the bags after people walk through the detectors. "I’m just shocked he got that far through TSA," she said. "I’m just grateful he did ‘t (sic) have a bomb or anything like that. I could have been seriously hurt."
The Wayne County Airport Authority's police and fire departments responded to the scene and determined that the man did not pose a threat. Scott said TSA agents attempted to cover him with garbage bags and the man was very nonchalant and compliant. The man was then transported to a local hospital. As for Shameka, an innocent bystander, I can't begin to imagine the terror she must have felt. She was standing defenseless and vulnerable in her stocking feet, mere yards from a naked man, wondering if he possessed a bomb that could have seriously hurt herself and others.

Never believe what you read in the Daily Mirror! Or any other British Red Top for that matter.
Or any other newspaper full stop.
"If you don't read the newspaper, you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you're misinformed."
- Mark Twain Hadn't realized the Daily Mirror had crossed that line into Weekly World News territory or the older (classic ) National Enquirer before they started only writing about celebrity's relationships and related gossip. Probably why I like the Daily Mirror. I can trump that. Our worst paper is the Daily Sport (formally the Sunday Sport, started in the 80s). It's 7 days a week now...
It's success can be attributed to sheer crap and titillation.

Florida Man Threatens Co-workers, Strips NakedlinkyCONCH KEY, Fla. (CBS12) — A restaurant employee threatened his coworkers with a fillet knife before stripping naked and passing out on the property, deputies say.
Monroe County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to Nichols Seafood restaurant in Conch Key shortly after 5 p.m. Friday night regarding an intoxicated and disorderly person.
Deputies say when they arrived, restaurant employees said 46-year-old Adianel Morales had been drinking on the job and became belligerent and was asked to leave. Morales' coworkers told deputies he spray painted a security camera and damaged several others, totaling more than $1,000 in damage. That was when he grabbed a fillet knife and threatened other restaurant employees, before they managed to take the knife away. Morales then stripped naked and started walking around the property before passing out in the restaurant's business office.
Morales was found naked and asleep in the office when deputies arrived, according to the sheriff's office. When told to get dressed, Morales cursed at deputies and attempted to slam the office door shut. Deputies warned Morales he would be tased if he didn't comply and, deputies say, that was when he tried to grab something in the room which prompted Deputy Hradecky to draw his gun. At this point, Morales cooperated. The sheriff's office says Morales' speech was slurred and he smelled of alcohol. While deputies were trying to get him into the back seat of a patrol car, he said he wished for "death by cop" and refused to get in the car, all the while kicking deputies. Morales was tased and then seated in the back seat of the patrol car where he beat his head against the partition while on the way to jail, the sheriff's office said. He was placed in a restraint chair.
Morales is charged with disorderly intoxication, criminal mischief and resisting with violence and battery on law enforcement officers. He remains in jail on $45,000 bond.

Police: Naked Man Stole Boat linkyTYNGSBORO, MA A 45-year-old Burlington man was hospitalized for observation after he was caught, in the nude, trying to steal a pair of boats docked along the Merrimack River behind Johnson Automotive on Tuesday, authorities say. The owner of the boats and the auto shop said the naked man trashed one boat and doused it in gasoline before freeing it from the dock. Police soon arrived and took the man into custody."It was an interesting course of events," said Eric Johnson, while going over the odd situation inside his business a few hours after the incident concluded. It started about 12:30 p.m., when Johnson received a call from a neighbor who warned him of a naked man walking down the railroad tracks behind Johnson Automotive, located at 141 Middlesex Road. The railroad tracks run along the Merrimack River, where Johnson has a boat dock situated right behind his auto shop. Out of concern for his boats, Johnson decided he would see if there was any truth to his neighbor's strange warning. Johnson walked to the edge of the railroad tracks, where he confirmed the presence of a fully naked man. "Not a stitch of clothing on," Johnson said. "No shoes, no nothing." He also noticed his boat with an outboard motor was missing from its usual spot. Johnson further noticed the naked man attempting to untie his other boat — a canoe — from its moorings. Johnson confronted the man with a question. "Where's my boat?" "He's talking gibberish," Johnson said. "He was all over the place."
Police were then called to the location. Officers approached the nude man, who jumped into the river and swam to a distance where police could not reach him, according to a Tyngsboro Police Department press release. Out of concern for the man's safety, police requested the assistance of the Tyngsboro Fire Department, which launched a boat into the river. The man was retrieved downstream and returned to shore, police said. He was then transported to Lowell General Hospital. "I'm glad that our officers were able to intervene before this suspect was able to successfully leave the scene with a stolen boat," Police Chief Richard Howe stated in the press release. "I'm also grateful that nobody was injured as a result of this incident, and for the professional and quick response of the Tyngsborough Fire Department in safely rescuing him from the water."
Johnson used his canoe to paddle down river and recover his other boat. According to Johnson, seats in the boat had been torn out, while the gasoline from the outboard motor was dumped all over the boat's inside. "Fortunately, he didn't have a lighter on him," said Johnson, who stressed the man had limited places to carry a lighter. After police took the man into custody, Johnson snapped a photo of the man who was standing on the dock. At that point, the man was wrapped in a towel and surrounded by emergency responders. The photo sat next to the cash register on the counter inside Johnson Automotive late Tuesday afternoon. The auto shop has been operating at that location on Middlesex Road for 26 years. The Burlington man will be issued a summons for malicious destruction of property over $1,200, furnishing a false identification to law enforcement and larceny over $1,200, police said. His name was not released since he is being summonsed instead of arrested. "It was a strange day," Johnson said.Follow Aaron Curtis on Twitter @aselahcurtis

Naked, Dancing Florida Man Arrested At Mamaroneck Gas Stationlinky MAMARONECK, NY An onlooker's video really fleshed out details of a Mamaroneck arrest. Village police swarmed a gas station recently and used a Taser to stop a naked 36-year-old man who danced in the parking lot before he tried to drive away as onlookers captured video of the strange scene. The man from Hobe Sound, Florida, appeared to be on drugs, police Lt. Sandra DiRuzza said Monday about the incident, which was captured on video by someone who was watching the arrest unfold. It is Westchester's brush with the "Florida Man" meme, a viral social media joke that highlights wacky stories of Florida folks running afoul of the law.
FB video link
It is also the second video catching fire on social media of someone stripping down in Westchester as the weather heats up. Last week a man was filmed swimming in the Renaissance Plaza fountain in White Plains. The Mamaroneck encounter occurred around 10:10 p.m. on June 11 at the Sunoco gas station at 540 Mamaroneck Ave., DiRuzza said. Officers responded after an employee there reported someone acting erratically. As depicted in a video posted on Facebook by an onlooker, police are in the parking lot as the man prances out of the gas station's food mart and into a car next to a gas pump. The man then tried to drive away, but two police cars boxed his car in at the parking lot's Mamaroneck Avenue exit, where several officers surrounded the man's car. An officer opened the driver's side door and the man got out. Officers used a Taser on the man after he refused to comply with officers’ verbal commands, DiRuzza said.
The man, whose name was not released by police, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and public lewdness, both misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, DiRuzza said. The man was taken to a hospital for evaluation and given a future date to appear in Mamaroneck Village Court, she said

Naked Man With Mullet Filmed Sliding Down Train CarriagelinkyAustralia - Catching the train home at night can bring with it many emotions. You never know who is going to get on your carriage - they might make you feel uncomfortable, nervous, nothing at all, and then there are some that just make you laugh. So if you were riding on the Lilyfield Line on Melbourne's Metro last night, then you certainly would have been treated to the latter. An unknown man decided to jazz up the evening commute by dropping his dacks, taking off his top and sliding down a carriage. The man, who was also sporting an incredible mullet, ran to the end of one carriage, with more than a dozen people cheering him on. He managed to slide several metres thanks to a mysterious liquid on the train floor. The floor of a train is probably one of the dirtiest places you can find so you can only imagine what would have been on that bloke's chest after the stunt. The clip of the hilarious act was posted on the Lilydale Line Facebook group and has absolutely gone viral, with nearly 20,000 people liking, sharing and commenting on the post. Patriotism was high on the agenda, with one person writing: "This is what it means to be Australian." Another proud Aussie said: "This is the most Australian video I've seen all year." Then there were people who were concerned for the man's welfare, with one person saying: "Jeez he's brave bloke. I wouldn't want my night tool scraping across the ground like that." But another noted that it's just a nice, uplifting moment that should be celebrated, writing on Facebook: "Listen if everyone was having fun and no one got stabbed then that's a step up." Sadly, it seems like not everyone is cheering over the video, namely the Metro service. A spokesperson for the Metro told Channel 9: "Passenger safety is Metro's number one priority and this type of behaviour is completely unacceptable on public transport. "If passengers witness anything of this nature on board a train, we urge them to press the emergency call button to alert Metro staff or to call police. "We encourage our passengers to be mindful of those around them, which means behaving in a respectful and community-minded way." It certainly seems as though the people around the naked mullet man were absolutely loving the stunt and would even want him to do it again. Slide show of still images with the shameful nekkidity blurred out -
