I guess we're all just supposed to forget that East Germany, Czechoslovakia and a bunch of other hard-core socialist countries in Europe collapsed and failed because of their hard-core socialist policies? Like all those failed socialist countries never existed? "Yeah well, but besides all those examples, if you don't count them... then there really aren't any examples then!" 
You mean countries that were all under the former Soviet Union? I would hardly call the former Soviet Union "socialist", they may have had it in the title but by any real definition it was a fascist state. |

If it makes you happy to try to "own the libs" as opposed to having a real conversation about the issues that's your prerogative. It's great work you're doing. Hard to have a real conversation with libs when they keep going back to their playbook. I mean its like arguing with a bot to be honest. Again with the broad, sweeping generalizations. That's like me saying all conservatives are nutty conspiracy theorists, insurrectionists, election deniers etc when we know it's only about 30% of them. That's not to say that the left doesn't have it's fair share of nuts and I don't agree with them on a lot. Lets be fair, aren't you the same guy that said in the climate change thread that no matter the evidence presented, you would never change your mind on the topic. This coming from an alleged scientist ( I say alleged not as a pejorative as I do not know your actual credentials ). |

Which is very scientific-"Your data has been completely corrupted and must all be thrown out". I have given my credentials many many times-interesting how you forgot that but remembered a single quote I made once (altho incorrectly). I might add that to the list- "Only remember things you agree with". |

Since you still deny the truth that has been cited to you from several independent sources, all of which clearly contradict your claim that the USSR and Eastern Bloc nations were "hardly" Socialist, and instead you still claim the sources I cited were wrong and that the USSR and Eastern Bloc nations were actually "fascist" governments, but supply no corroborating evidence of such a claim, then why would there be any point in discussing anything factual with you from this point forward?? Everything you claimed about the definition and economic status of the USSR and Eastern Bloc nations are simply your opinions - opinions that are universally contradicted by virtually all reputable sources cited on socialism and socialist countries. If you can make up any definition of what a socialist country is and is not, with no independent reliable reference to support your claim - then why should I try to engage you in discussing this topic whereby you just change the widely-held definition when it doesn't suit your opinion? You say you'll capitulate "if" it means we can move on with the discussion... not "if" you are proven wrong, not "if" the truth contradicts you, you just want to move on to the next statement where you will, in all likelihood, just continue to make up your own definitions based on your own opinions and claim everyone else is wrong. That's no discussion. |
