This is a Frank Robbins cover I like. To me it conveys the right mood or atmosphere. Especially like the mummy and the glowering statue in the background.

very few comic artists can draw children-they make 'em look like adult midgets. Its very simple-children have small facial features in comparison to head size with proportionally large eyes. They just dont get the memo. otherwise great drawing.

Hello Everyone! I am a new member of this community. I am expecting to learn a lot from you, guys! Since I was a Child I have been very fascinated with Marvel Comics. I have had several favorite characters, many of them are part of the MCU. However, one character that is almost my favorite is Daredevil, even though he is underrated in comparison to other characters. I know that for some of you he is not as well known or popular, but it cannot be denied that he is a character who, despite not having mega powers like other superheroes, does have qualities in his personality that attract a lot. Anyone could feel identified because he has characteristics of a superhero, but also of an ordinary individual who has a sense of justice and fights legally as a lawyer and as a martial arts fighter, in addition to his qualities such as detecting the sound of the movements of things. I think he gives visibility to disabled or vulnerable people. Although Ben Affleck's movie made this character even more opaque for years, thanks to the TV series version, the character had a quality that was welcomed and accepted by a new audience. The development of this character and a very solid plot has favored his permanence, and maybe we will see him in the following MCU movies. If anyone knows any news, don't hesitate to let me know. Finally, this character is very fascinating because he is not flat or basic, but he has reasons to live and serve others, his community. This is because he acts through his value system, particularly Catholic, which influences his decision-making, lifestyle, sense of justice, and his modus operandi. Please, feel free to tell me what do think about this character? Have you ever read any Daredevil issue? Do you like him?, if so, why?

His tenure has been portrayed by periods of some of Marvel's best creative periods. The Wally Wood stuff in the earliest issues is some of my favorite story art of all time. Romita afterward was incredible. The mid 60s were a bit tougher for me to follow simply because I wasn't a huge fan of the art but there were some bright moments including the Barry Smith issues. The Bob Brown / Klaus Janson stuff really drew me in post Frank Miller (I found the issues retroactively as a kid after reading Miller) and I found that it was just as much Janson's inks that attracted me as Frank Miller's pencils. Of course the Miller Era is probably my favorite. And then there is the Bendis / Maleev run. And of course Brubaker and Lark.

The Brown/Janson period was pretty good albeit short lived(6 issues bi-monthly?), but I will add I enjoyed the entire Bob Brown Daredevil era despite his not doing any cover art(I don’t think). The Steve Gerber and Marv Wolfman stories were always fun. I always wondered why I was such a fan of this title (along with Iron Man) during a time when this title was struggling to find an audience. I read these retroactively as I wasn’t yet reading/collecting comics when these hit newsstands, but 70’s Daredevil added another layer to why I enjoy Bronze/70’s Marvel so much.

I dont know why people love The Joker-If being Craaaazy is some super ability, my city is filled with super villains- In any sort of realistic world, the joker would be pushing a shopping cart around gibbering to himself. Thats what happens to untreated mental patients, not rising to the top of a criminal enterprise-

AI is going to revolutionize the non-labor intensive industries before any other industry, and art is one of them. As far as I'm concerned, all of the writers striking in Hollywood is just the beginning of their struggles. It seems they're trying to secure job security just as it's about to disappear. Anybody worth their salt is going to try to use this to their advantage and learn how to create using AI....unfortunately, art created by AI is going to be the norm...and I'm not sure what the unintended consequences of this new technology will be but you can damn well be sure there will be consequences.

Thats what happens to untreated mental patients, not rising to the top of a criminal enterprise- You're over simplifying. Many geniuses border on or ARE mentally ill and yet they are able to both function and use their genius to get or do things normal people can't. I wrote about this about 15 years ago after Heath Ledger gave his amazing performance in Batman: The Dark Knight. Basically, what I stated was that the Joker was just acting out on his beliefs without reservation or fear. He does unexpected things that nobody else would do, like a terrorist might, and that not only catches people off guard it ends up being successful. The lack of fear is probably his greatest strength. If people functioned without fear it would be a very different world.

Marvel Settles Creator Copyright Lawsuits – But Not Steve DitkoMarvel has abandoned lawsuits and settled claims made from Larry Lieber Don Heck, Gene Colan and Don Rico. But no, not Steve Ditko.Marvel has reached settlements with four artists or their estates who attempted to reclaim copyright interests in Iron Man, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Blade. On behalf of these parties, attorney Marc Toberoff brought such copyright termination attempts in regard to these properties. Marvel in turn filed lawsuits against Larry Lieber and the estates of Don Heck, Gene Colan, and Don Rico. However, no settlement has been reached in the case of the estate of Steve Ditko, which seeks to reclaim his share of Doctor Strange and Spider-Man copyrights.
