Some of us dealers knew about this collection as far back as 2021. The Superman #1 appeared on Facebook and many thought it was a scam. The book graded a CGC 7.0 and ended up selling for $2.8 Million (the sale is in GPA). Then slowly, many other books started trickling onto the market. I've bought quite a few books out of this collection. They're spectacular. |

Marvel really seems to be struggling. They're pushing the woke business model and people aren't interested. They want solid story telling and entertainment, NOT preaching and politics. That time is past. Back in the 60's and 70's it was a different story. Stan Lee, Marvel, DC, Star Trek - fantasy entertainment was THE vehicle to push human rights issues. The reason it worked was because nobody had pushed them this way before. They were breaking NEW GROUND. Nowadays people are tired of it. They're getting assaulted for it from every angle. What they want is a BREAK from it, not another vehicle to run them over with it. Marvel needs to get back go good story telling. And they better get on it quick, because someone WILL get in on it if they don't. |
