I pretty much agree. The only Marvel titles I've enjoyed the last few years are Mark Waid's Daredevil and Ms. Marvel. Deadpool can be a fun read, and I do miss Fantastic Four. The decompression of storytelling is my bugaboo. I'm more and more reading trades or collections of older comics so I can get complete stories. The only Marvel stuff I've purchased in the past decade or so is Jim Starlin Thanos books and Garth Ennis MAX books. I am getting the Starlin/Alan Davis GOTG title, but I believe that's just a mini. I wanted to pick up the Mark Waid DD books but the art was just terrible. The DD art by Chris Samnee grew on me rather quickly. It has a Silver Age feel as does the writing. Also, I have a bias, but I thought Hickman's Fantastic Four run was very well done. Many of the subplots and family elements harken back to the early days of FF and stories aren't rehashed or needlessly drawn out. The other FF title ("FF"= Freedom Foundation) was pretty decent as well, imo. It was mostly focused on the kids which was sort of neat.

I had given up on FF, but I was going to give it a try when Millar or Hickman was writing it (can't remember which). Then I googled FF and read that Franklin had a sister and there was that Freedom Foundation and I said forget it.

I think this book qualifies as heating up and not just because of the asking price on the one referenced below This has been a grail book for me for years. I don't suppose I'll ever get one though www.ebay.com/itm/352045504872?ul_noapp=true

Bondage has been upgraded to classic Bondage and torture.

"Classic" seems to be overused a lot nowadays. Is it classic due to the book's noteriety, was a sought after book for many years or decades, or is it just another marketing technique by the seller?

I'd say over the last 15 years or so, buzzwords have gotten out of control. Remember when acai berries became popular on North America? Everyone was calling it superfood. That really annoyed me for some reason.
Then you have over used words. Today's over used word from stupid white trash is absolutely. It isn't a substitute for yes. It means something different than a simple yes. Nothing is absolute except minus 273 Celsius.

"Superfood" became a buzzword for a while there.

I had that book on my eBay watchlist for a few months and a VG ish copy popped up for sale in a no reserve/minimum auction. It could very well be the book that is now slabbed at 3.5 with a 5K BIN....thst sold for a few hundred bucks. The final hammer on the eBay VG-ish copy was somewhere between $200 and $600, I can't remember.

WTF are you doing standing in your bathtub to burn a comic book?
Yeah, what an awesome protest.

This was also covered on a few other websites. First time in a long time that a book I purchased went up in value.
