I hear Her Majesty likes to visit regularly... Nice to know she appreciates regular stuff like the rest of us. By the way, did you hear how she fared in the Coney Island hot dog eating contest? I understand she's one of the frontrunners since that Kobayashi fellow stopped competing.  Hotdogs are too common for Her Majesty. She prefers Bratwurst. |

I've seen some of the weather forecasters telling the indexes instead of the actual temps, that makes it seem worse than it actually is. Maybe it will cause some of the climate change deniers to wake up. |

I was half paying attention to a local forecast and they had graphics up giving temps for the upcoming week that were unreasonably high even for Summer. |

We definitely get hot here- Freaking skin piercing, cell stinging, intense sunlight, but it's been a couple years since we've had those numbers. This last winter was the wettest we've had in a long time (Shasta Lake's level is as high as I've seen it in decades), and that means more wild grass. Everyone up here is nervously crossing our fingers. |
