I like cold roast beef sandwiches with nothing more than a little S&P and either yellow mustard or spicy brown mustard. I will make hot "open-faced sandwiches"* with the beef shredded up in some of the gravy poured over the bread. *Never liked the term "open-faced sandwich". Nothing is being sandwiched without the other slice of bread. But I don't know of anything better to call it, so I am stuck using an incorrect term. Sorry, /rant.well,just throw the extra piece of bread on there. I always have my sloppy joes with two slices... My Sloppy Joes always go on a bun. I'd think bread would fall apart, unless of course it was "open-faced".

Speaking of roast beef - London broil and corn on the grill tonight. Green peas, bread, and mixed fruit along with it. Now I have rare "roasted" beef getting cold in the fridge. Mustard & bread will be had with it later.

It already does a little, but most aromatic are the tiny little bbqs they place on each table to grill your meat. And gang,i'm not living the highlife going to restaurants and blowing high dough...the small places around here are so affordable it's actually almost the same if not cheaper than shopping at the chain grocers downtown!

Those little bbq's are pretty cool. The place I went to we'd order bulgogi, kimchee, mung bean pancakes, veggies in red pepper sauce... I've also had a sort of Kimchee stew in a broth and full of pork chunks. Enjoy dinner!

I wish I could eat out for less than I could to buy food for in the supermarket! I'm moving to Ottawa!

Made this tonight, served with parsley rice, peas (yes, leftover!), and a pineapple salad. www.thecookingjar.com/honey-garlic-chicken-skillet/Didn't have any ginger, so I used a pinch of basil instead. It tasted like the "bourbon chicken" you get at some Chinese places, without the bourbon flavour. I'm gonna experiment with that, you betcha.

I've been experimenting with crock pot marinara sauce.
I buy restaurant supply size stewed tomatoes in a giant can to keep the cost down. The prices of quart size marinara sauce have always pissed me off - plus, I go through it so quickly.
I'm liking the results a lot...much cheaper and tastier.
