Early 1st Swampy run had some classic covers. This one isn't up with Wrightson, but I do remember it very much as a 9 year old kid:

April 12, 1977 - 1st release of "Star Wars #1" the comicbook by Marvel. This preceded the release of the movie by a month, intentionally to drum up interest in the movie. George Lucas specifically wanted to make a comicbook version of the movie and was actually turned down by Stan Lee at first, until Stan learned that Alec Guinness would be in the movie (no one was sure if the movie would be a hit or not). Lucas even developed Darth Vader to resemble the villain in the Fantastic Four comics, Dr. Doom. And on the cover Darth's helmet is green not black because the cover artist Howard Chaykin was only given early concept art from Lucas to draw from. Also, Han Solo and Obi Wan appear on this cover but don't appear in the story until issue #2. This book is the first appearance of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Darth Vader in any story or medium. The comic series was so popular at the time after the movie came out, it is what reportedly "saved Marvel comics" from bankruptcy during the mid-70's.

Nothing key or interesting about this pair of modern books except the covers which I think look pretty cool together. Rick and Morty #2, 3rd Print, Colas variant + Rick and Morty #3, 1st print, Colas variant.

Truly a "cool" cover - and very cool book as well! Steranko nailed this cover, and the interior art (had several entire pages with no words, just images telling the story). The cover screams "cool" and reflected the pop culture of the late 60s, the psychedelic look, the astrology fad, and yet it still looks cool even today.
