I've been watching Hulu programs and noticed products sold via HIM and HERS
I've seen these commercials before for ED and baldness but recently saw that you can get anxiety medication
My personal experience with medication for anxiety (take for flying) is minimal but also know friends/family that have dealt with it and I know it's a long process before medication is prescribed and usually its trying to find a right dosage/medication that can take years on perfecting
my concern is that how accessible this is and I also have very little faith in the the doctors being used to help prescribe the medication
furthermore how quick we are to medicate the issue without trying to explore the causes (driving the anxiety) and finding help via other means (healthy living as an example)
I thought of you vintagecomics as someone who might share my same concerns

We definitely have a copium epidemic.
It seems like GenPop learned nothing from the 90's ADD/ADHD pill-pushing. Too many people would rather 'quick fix' the symptom than (trigger word) work on fixing the root cause. It goes along with all of the other instant self-gratification personality traits we've embedded into younger generations (including my own).

The average person does not cope well. That is what usually leads to self medicating with copium.

The average person does not cope well. That is what usually leads to self medicating with copium. 67 viewers. A new record.

I thought of you vintagecomics as someone who might share my same concerns I'm going to quote this and have you think about it for a bit. I'm glad we agree, however I know Mental Health is a passionate area for you, so I was hoping you'd indulge me with your thoughts specifically about this trend (non covid vaccines please)

I'm glad we agree, however I know Mental Health is a passionate area for you, so I was hoping you'd indulge me with your thoughts specifically about this trend (non covid vaccines please) I'm just going to point out one last time how much contradiction there is between your ideological belief in doctors towards anxiety drugs and how that conflicts with your belief in doctors and the Covid vaccines. Just interchange one for the other above in your original post and all of a sudden you are totally contradicting yourself. I wonder if your anxiety affected your decision making over the pandemic? ---------------------------------------- Yes, I think people are over medicated and over stimulated by social media. I think if people got off social media for a month, walked barefoot in the grass more and maybe listened to good analogue music during that month you'd see a huge drop in need for medication.

my concern is also about pharmaceutical companies having treatment for mental illness readily available by video "doctors"
I'm going to ask my sister in law who is a psychiatrist what she thinks

Are you sure? You seemed pretty fearful during the pandemic far longer and more than the average person was. I stopped being afraid by about May 2020. Many people still live in the fear and anxiety over Covid-19 that the government stoked. my concern is also about pharmaceutical companies having treatment for mental illness readily available by video "doctors"
I'm going to ask my sister in law who is a psychiatrist what she thinks
You're going to ask someone who was trained by research almost fully funded by drug companies what they think of drugs? is this social media vintagecomics or are you referring to sites like tiktok and facebook

The type that doesn't contain fire ants when you're with a chick. True story.

"You're going to ask someone who was trained by research almost fully funded by drug companies what they think of drugs?"
I was going to ask a doctor who prescribes medicine about the companys that have video doctors who prescribe anxiety medicine via video and not in office sessions
Is there anything you aren't cynical about?
