The Canadian government has been pushing Medically Assisted Dying (MAID) hard this past year.
They pushed it so hard that the mentally ill and those in extreme poverty will be able to choose medically assisted dying.
They even offered it as an option on their health phone number before it was removed after public uproar.
And yet, while the Government has backtracked on MAID this was uncovered, out there circulating.
A children's activity book discussing it.
I can't understand any other reason for this sort of tactic except that the Liberals pushing it get off on it.
Get off on pushing sexual education on children who don't understand what sex is and push Medically Assisted Dying on kids who don't understand what dying is yet.
This sort of pornographic stuff is disgusting and pathetic.

The gaslighting is happening in real time regarding Excess deaths / Covid deaths and what is becoming apparent (if it hasn't been already) is that some of what used to be the purest, non-partisan scientific organizations in the world are now corrupted by politics.
You can now list Nature as one of those publications which is pushing false reporting as science.
This video does a great job of explaining how it misrepresents the actual science to conveniently obscure the facts.
Nature published this article entitled : "Missing data mean we’ll probably never know how many people died of COVID"
The Nature article bases itself on work from the WHO but misrepresents the work into a conveniently edited message to obscure the fact that the information hasn't and likely won't be parsed.
Heather explains it clearly.
Bret explains why we'll "probably never know".
"Because we're never going to do the right study".
"Why aren't we going to do the right study? Because a lot of people can't afford for us to do the right study."
---------------------------------------
This 7 minute video is a Masterclass in exposing obfuscation in the scientific and political world.

While this thread has been about reporting on Gaslighting, I'm going to start adding articles with suggestions on HOW to spot gaslighting. It's like spotting restoration on a comic book. Once you see it, you can no longer unsee it. ------------------------------------ Today's lesson: How to realize there MIGHT be restoration on your news.... I got a phone notification about THIS article today: Durham’s investigation into Russia probe costs $3.8 million so far Now, I'm thinking to myself WHY ON EARTH, would CNN, a company bent on making Trump look bad and Liberals look good be posting about a years old topic - the Russian collusion investigation into the Trump election? ESPECIALLY since the investigation exonerated Trump of wrong doing and this article could be seen as supportive of Trump? And THAT is where my Spider-sense started tingling....because once you read the article you can see the article never says a positive thing about Trump but tries to focus on just how much this investigation into Trump COST everyone. So why the article? It turns out that now, as the investigation itself is concluding and as the House of Representatives switches sides to Republican majority that the House plans on investigating the people responsible for the Russian collusion campaign which would likely by the FBI, Clinton and others involved. ‘They Were The Lies To The FBI’: Jim Jordan Reveals John Durham’s Next TargetThe takeaway I have here so far, is that the Liberal movement smells trouble brewing as the heat turns toward them and uses the news as a weapon to either deflect, fill the airwaves with alternate messages to drown out the opposition or simply to show the initial investigation in bad light as a waste of money to Liberal readers (or some such thing) so that they don't pay attention to what Republicans have to say about it. It's all about the art of illusion and distraction and so whenever ONE side of the news is posting a story there is ALWAYS a counterstory and a good reason why they're pushing the angle. The key to spotting restoration in your news is to try to find the angle, to uncover the counterstory and to figure out what the truth is somewhere in between. And that goes for EVERY piece of news whether from the left or the right.

Politics. pä-lə-ˌtiks. President Joe Biden signed Congress’ annual defense bill for 2023 into law Friday, giving his approval to a bill that overturns his own administration’s mandate that servicemembers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
------------------------------------
Biden expressed concerns over several provisions of the act in a statement Friday but made no mention of a GOP-sponsored item overturning the Department of Defense’s service-wide vaccine mandate, despite the administration’s robust opposition to the provision.#followthescience because nobody knows science better than politicians.

Glen Greenwald is one of the world's best investigative journalists. He's been labelled as a "right wing" journalist, when in fact he's centrist, and is gay, which doesn't often work well in conservative circles. So when he writes something like this, people should pay attention. For anyone really wanting to know what's going on in the world and to hedge against left wing bias, he's a must read. This is a root of all our problems in society - we are being purposefully misled: The Career-Advancing Lies of Corporate Journalists From the page: Namely, the more you lie on behalf of power centers, the more advancement, promotion, and success you will be guaranteed in the world of corporate journalism. Indeed, even that amended formulation still does not go far enough. It is really not hyperbole to say that if you really want to rise to the top of the heap of corporate journalism, lying on behalf of power centers is a requirement. Conversely, if you're unwilling to lie for those power centers, then success in corporate journalism is all but impossible. It's a requirement for the job. It's really astonishing because it's literally true, the journalists who lie most frequently, casually, and aggressively on behalf of government and economic power centers, are the ones who shoot at the top of the corporate journalism ladder.

The namisgrs and tth2s of the world have created this body of likeminded people who think censorship is good.
We just lived through the greatest single human censorship campaign in human history, where governments around the world lined up together and suppressed truthful, good information and promoted information that pushed solely for political gain and over reach.
Now they want more censorship.
And they will get it unless you, Joe Public, says and does something.
There is DEFINITELY something going on among these Western, quasi "democratic" countries.
"The idea that governments worldwide are working together to censor their citizens sounds like a conspiracy theory, but it's not. It's increasingly clear that there is just such an organized effort involving, at a minimum, the US, Canada, UK, & New Zealand."

The ULTIMATE speech on gaslighting.
The world just shifted.
Wonder how this is going to affect Twitter moving forward.
We know they'll gain millions of viewers over this, but I'm betting the Left will ramp up their attacks on Twitter as well.

So, I have made a VERY INTERESTING observation. This is worth the read. I follow a lot of world news, but I've noticed a very interesting pattern being implemented by almost ALL Left / Liberal news sites creating an INCREDIBLE amount of GASLIGHTING to the public. They WILL NOT post anything that can be disputed on almost ALL Right / Conservative news sites. I've been thinking it's strange since I noticed it late last year. Every time I went to Twitter to find a Left Wing news article to repost it here (because I like the presentation of the Twitter embed) I couldn't find it. I mean, I could find the news on Twitter but it is almost NEVER posted by the Left Wing news site. It's almost ALWAYS reposted by a Right Wing followers who wants to dispute the journalism. So I started noticing that Google isn't promoting anything negative about Jack Smith either. Weird, right? Not really weird once you start thinking about why. I think it's because they DON'T WANT PEOPLE HAVING AN OPEN DISCUSSION ABOUT THEIR NEWS ON A RIGHT WING SITE. Which is REALLY weird because if it's true you want it shared, and if it's false you want to know for sure. But these news companies aren't interested in truths, they're interested in pushing narratives. Anyway, just a very interesting observation I've made over the last year or so, especially since Musk took over Twitter. WHAT BETTER WAY to cripple your enemy than to prevent any of your wrongs from being exposed while reducing financial revenue against the one person who could prove you wrong? ------------------------- I finally decided to post something about this after doing some research when Special Counsel in the Trump trial It turns out that Jack Smith, Special Counsel in the Jan 6 Indictment of Trump Admits To Making False Claim To Court In Trump Case. Not a small thing. THE LEAD COUNSEL LIED AND MISREPRESENTED EVIDENCE IN THE LARGEST COURT CASE THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN, WHICH IS INDICTING A FORMER US PRESIDENT. But while searching Google and DuckDuckGo, I could ONLY FIND THE NEWS ON RIGHT WING SITES. No Left Wing media sites I could find were carrying the news. Why? Because it's not news? Silly Rabbit. THEY DON'T REPORT THE NEWS. So if you go to a "right wing" site, you'll see this: Jack Smith Admits To Making False Claim To Court In Trump CaseThis is what truth looks like. No angles. No agendas. Just factual reporting. But if you Google Left Wing sites for Jack Smith Trump Evidence, you see all of these news articles today: Not a SINGLE use of the word EVIDENCE in this article. Not even a mention that Special Counsel Jack Smith lied and hid evidence. CBS: Trump indicted by grand jury in special counsel Jack Smith's Jan. 6 investigation
LA Times: Trumps Lies Got Him Indicted But They Have Worked All To WellNow look at how Newsweek frames this fact. From the article: Jack Smith Admits Mistake in Trump Mar-a-Lago TapesThe letter explained that the materials were not previously provided by mistake, realizing the error as it prepared to submit the superseding indictment. The materials were originally obtained by the government in May, with the DOJ attesting in court on July 18 that all necessary files had been turned over, which it said in hindsight was "therefore incorrect." They call it "a mistake" The Special Counsel, indicting arguably the most powerful person in the world forgot how to do their job. Wow. Now if THAT doesn't make you think and help you realize how badly gaslighted you are I'm not sure what will.

Now look at how Newsweek frames this fact. From the article: Jack Smith Admits Mistake in Trump Mar-a-Lago TapesThe letter explained that the materials were not previously provided by mistake, realizing the error as it prepared to submit the superseding indictment. The materials were originally obtained by the government in May, with the DOJ attesting in court on July 18 that all necessary files had been turned over, which it said in hindsight was "therefore incorrect." I will throw Newsweek a bone. Over the pandemic, they HAVE published stuff that is favorable to the Right and to the Left. I commend them for it, although in a sea of Left Wing news it's hard to see how centrist they've tried to remain, if at all. So THIS article is great for the reason that it delves into the 1st Amendment Rights of Trump and how the Jan 6ht indictment may fall apart on him. Will Trump's First Amendment Right Implode Jack Smith Jan. 6 Case? The Justice Department's second indictment against former President Donald Trump has raised questions about whether or not the charges related to his role in the January 6 Capitol riot infringe on his First Amendment rights.
---------------------------------------
Because the First Amendment is neutral when it comes to the content of the speech it defends, free speech is generally protected even if that speech is false or dishonest. So, some have argued that Tuesday's indictment lacks standing since the new charges against Trump center on the claim that he won the 2020 election.
---------------------------------------
Alan Dershowitz, a constitutional lawyer who served on Trump's defense team during his first impeachment, told Newsweek that the First Amendment is a sound argument for the former president to invoke "unless the government can prove beyond reasonable doubt that he actually knew and believed he had lost fairly."
Legal attorney Jonathan Turley agreed, saying that while he found the Justice Department's first indictment against Trump in the Mar-a-Lago confidential documents case to be "strong and well-supported," the second indictment lacks legal support and evidence."The implications of this filing for free speech are chilling," Turley told Newsweek. "If allowed to stand, the government could arrest any politician who fails to adhere to 'the truth' as laid out by the government."

In 2005, the Bush White House admitted to producing videos that were designed to look like news reports from legitimate independent journalists, and then feeding those reports to media outlets as prepackaged material ready to air on the evening news. When the Government Accountability Office ruled that these fake news reports in fact constituted illegal covert propaganda, the White House simply issued a memo declaring the practice to be legal. This is that story: Under Bush, a New Age of Prepackaged TV News Under the Bush administration, the federal government has aggressively used a well-established tool of public relations: the prepackaged, ready-to-serve news report that major corporations have long distributed to TV stations to pitch everything from headache remedies to auto insurance. In all, at least 20 federal agencies, including the Defense Department and the Census Bureau, have made and distributed hundreds of television news segments in the past four years, records and interviews show. Many were subsequently broadcast on local stations across the country without any acknowledgement of the government's role in their production.

7 months later.... Buying of News by Bush's Aides Is Ruled Illegal WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 - Federal auditors said on Friday that the Bush administration violated the law by buying favorable news coverage of President Bush's education policies, by making payments to the conservative commentator Armstrong Williams and by hiring a public relations company to analyze media perceptions of the Republican Party.
In a blistering report, the investigators, from the Government Accountability Office, said the administration had disseminated "covert propaganda" in the United States, in violation of a statutory ban.

But wait...there's more! Behind TV Analysts, Pentagon’s Hidden HandHidden behind that appearance of Objectivity though, is a Pentagon information apparetus that has used those analyists in a campaign to generate favorable news coverage of the administrations wartime performance, as examination by The New York Times has found.
The effort, which began with the buildup of the Iraq war and continues to this day, has sought to exploit ideological and military allegiances, and also a powerful financial dynamic: Most of the analyst's have ties to military contractors vested in the very war policies they are asked to asses on air.
