We were discussing this in the shout box. Here's the archived LTPC (Locked Thread Point Challenge) Game: the-comic-book-forum.boards.net/board/75/locked-thread-points-challenge-archiveThe only reason I archived it was because it had difficulty running using the Ditch Point system I had rigged up. The bottom line is that the game needs a dedicated game master (like ThirdGreenHam was) in order for it to function correctly. I can't be the game master because there are periods when I'm away for months at a time. But if someone else wants to run it (or a couple of people), I'd be happy to set it up in its own subforum. There's probably trade-offs with each option. One thing I can promise, is that you can't make everyone happy.  For example, it you start from scratch, there may be people who become upset that the prior history of the game is being lost, or that their specific points are being lost. On the other hand, if you keep the existing point history, there may be those who are new to the game who will say it is unfair, and others who will say that it doesn't make sense because there are a lot of locked threads that weren't counted. Personally, I think that a case could be made for either option. But this isn't my call, the Game Master(s) get to make this decision. You guys get to decide a bunch of other things too. Like whether you want to do an LTPC for the CBCS forum or not. I thought it was a lot of fun, but it's totally up to you guys. |

Sounds like this is probably going to happen, so I created a subforum within the Community Forum called " The Locked Thread Points Challenge (LTPC)" and moved the above posts into a discussion thread within it.  |

Sean suggested making the final OG Leaderboard the first post in the points thread as an acknowledgement to the original. If you decide to go this direction, let me know and I'll set it up for you. |

BuzzettaI set everything up for you assuming that you'd probably go with the complete reset. I also started the points thread using the last locked thread. I figured it was easier to show you by example than trying to describe it. I'm using the format that Andy used before, with the modification that the thread title is also a link to it (this is super useful). I also created a locked thread containing the rules. You should be good to go. If you want to change anything, add/delete, whatever you want/need, just let me know and I'll make it happen.

God help me for saying this. I realized who is the one guy that has nothing but seemingly infinite time on his hands to go through the cgc boards and keep track of everything. You know who I am talking about? |
