i have been informed that this most likely is not stu, because the post is much more eloquent and witty than what stu would post and is probably a member that stu tried to get moderation to remove on the cgc moderation board this morning, by claiming bugaboo is a previously banned member at cgc and stated the past and present board names of bugaboo that were used/are being used on cgc boards. (full disclosure: i notified cgc moderation concerning his post and it was removed). if so, then i apologize to bugaboo for assuming he was stu and/or using the bugaboo name, and i also apologize to moderation here for notifying moderation that this may be stu. i did not want to knowingly waste the time of moderation here. No worries. I wasn't sure who you are, until I noticed the lack of capital letters.  Not sure if you saw it, but Stu made a post over in their virus thread a few days ago (since deleted) that Roy had reported his posts on this forum and got him suspended. He appeared to be crying and invited members to come over here and troll Roy for him. It also looks like he thought he had things figured out in their moderation forum and threw a little hissy fit before getting banned again. Then CD mentioned he had banned him 3 times in the last 15 hours. His tears are like spun sugar. Ever so sweet. Smooches to him though.......he's my best new good friend......mwah!!!!!  And with that, I'll let you guys get back to your virus chat. |

Jason Kenny, premiere of Alberta, Canada (our version of a US Governor) talks about coming clean about mistakes made during the pandemic.
He said that ignoring broader consequences of lockdowns like health and effects on society AND ignoring the charter of rights and freedoms is a mistake.
Amazing to hear a politician come clean and admit this.
Background: The US Biden administration is backing out of the Keystone pipeline deal with Canada which is going to hurt Alberta most. He is probably doing it as a big 'FU' to Trudeau who seems to have rolled over and capitulated.
Anyway you slice it, though, this is great news.

So, here is a piece of real news that is a bit of a shocker.
This reporter, who used to work for the Harper government in Canada is now a reporter for Rebel News.
It turns out that Wuhan hosted the Military athletic games in October 2019 just a month before the 1st detected Covid case happened in Wuhan.
Multiple sources also state that Wuhan was a ghost town during the games. The athletes interviewed stated that the city was 'evacuated' for their benefit so that the games could be held there.
He had leaked to him from someone inside the Canadian military a paper from January 2020 (before the pandemic started but after the games) that talks about how Canadian military members got sick and did not have to worry about having Covid.
An interview with an unidentified / anonymous military athlete states that on the way back about 1/4-1/3 of the athletes were extremely ill with a flu like bug and they were quarantined in the back of the plane on the way back from China.
Other athletes from around the world also corroborated getting sick in Wuhan.
The anonymous military person being interviewed stated that they were not tested for Covid upon return and were never asked to be tested using a serology test for previous Covid exposure, which to me is strange since you'd want to know, right?
The thinking behind the article is that Covid may have been circulating as early as October (and there have been other sources trying to research this including the Italian medical community and the US military) and that governments may have some reason to not admit that it was either known or circulating that early.
One last thing, the reporter was visiting by the RCMP (our Canadian version of the FBI) about a Tweet he made announcing what he was going to report on.
Very interesting stuff that is all backed up with sources. i have yet to find anyone fact check and disprove what he's reported on.

Residents were evacuated from homes near the games and in any buildings if they lived below the 12th floors.

All LED screens were banned so that no citizens could show anti China propaganda on th

Just playing devil’s advocate and operating under the belief the U.S. military “planted” the virus, but was the assumption that Wuhan was evacuated to limit exposure to the virus to the local population? Not really understanding the possible connection otherwise. Under normal conditions, I wouldn’t think the Wuhan evacuation was all that dissimilar to what other countries or we here in the States do when we know the eyes of the world will be on us for any sort of special event. Maybe more extreme or far reaching, but it’s China. |

Closing businesses or having people leave their homes is on the extreme end(Wuhan in this instance or consider Beijing prior to the Olympics). Here in the States a “makeover” of cities holding large scale events often includes demolition of buildings to go along with new structures being put up, landscaping, or moving homeless elsewhere to make them “invisible”. |

So, my friends in California are all excited that things are opening up again all over.
I'm flabbergasted at how nobody sees the hypocrisy and how politicized this all is. Everyone kept saying how Trump is politicizing the pandemic and he was a poor leader for doing so but nobody speaks about how the Dems politicized it and still are.
While Trump was pushing to reopen the economy Dems were vehemently opposed to it brandishing Trump will all sorts of names.
NYC announced 3 weeks ago that they were reopening their economy and couldn't wait for the vaccine any longer. They opened AT THE PEAK of the highest infection rate they've ever had.
California is now reopening even though when they started closing back down in July (I was there) infections were at a MUCH lower infection rate than they currently are when they are reopening.
Many of the Democratic states that were vehemently pro lockdowns while Trump was in office are now reopening. Michigan, Illinois and Maryland are also reopening.
It's crazy that people aren't talking about this more.

A friend shared this article with me.
I realize that some people don't like Fox (or CNN or whatever) but rather than shoot the messenger, see if the message makes sense regardless of whether you like the messenger or not.
I've been trying to talk about 'gain of function' research over on the CGC forum since last summer when Biologists started questioning why Covid was not acting like a traditional virus but people like namisgr (a scientist) keep trying to shut the conversation down.
Apparently, acc to bioliogists, the jump from animal to human happened 'too quickly' before the virus had time to mutate to do so (just look at how long the news strains are taking to appear).
Prominent, world famous biologists reasoned that it was possible that the virus escaped mistakenly from the Wuhan lab where they were performing 'gain of function' research (I can link numerous credible articles of anyone wants them - just ask). Gain of function research is when scientists take a virus, CHANGE it's function to make it more dangerous and then study those properties.
This gain of function research is so seriously dangerous that it has been banned and unbanned several times over the last decade due to fears that a leak could pose a grave human threat. In fact, labs leak out viruses fairly regularly and there are several documented lab leaks around the world just in the last few years.
The reason why scientists would not want information about leaks getting out (and would there for try to censor that Covid-19 may have been a lab leak like they did with Alina Chan when she proposed that the virus could have had laboratory origins) was that if gain of function research gets banned, billions of dollars in funding would disappear.
If you have 15 mins to listen to this article, it ties a lot of the info together and implicates Fauci to the Covid-19 related researching in Wuhan and the funding, even when it was banned for a short time by the Obama administration.
What is probably MOST disturbing is that Peter Daszak, who penned an article in the Lanclet back in FEBRURAY, 2020 before the pandemic even broke out tried to trash anyone who suggested that the virus was not of natural origin. Peter Daszak is apparently on the WHO team in Wuhan investigating the virus origins and has NO PLANS of investigating the Wuhan lab where most of the world's work on bat coronaviruses is performed.
If this is all true, something smells rotten in Wuhan.
