Giving strikes to ppl who pointed out MetalPis's new shill account was a new low in moderation. Then he had to ban him again anyway. And again. Who got done for that? They should have been rewarded for taking out the trash. He's now been banned at least 4 times that we know of. Guarantee he's snuck back in with the change of moderation, or at the least, created a new back-up shill. Mike had his moments where he failed to make sense, but often given a day he'd have thought about whatever it was and reconsidered. Often. Not always. Often. Roy, he failed the boards by going a bit slacker on you, and every other poster there knows it. It's a moot point though, as moderation is as existent as the boards are accessible. I think it's dumb to celebrate his absence. We've got nothing as a replacement, so when there are board issues, like now, Mike would have at least been on top of it. Matt G doesn't care. He didn't care enough about the stupid Grading Contest to learn the basics of what he was supposed to be doing. Myself and 1950s war comics got strikes when we posted that this was a metalpis shill-we thought we were doing the heroic thing that has been lauded on the boards forever and imagine our surprise when we got strikes for it, and the shill was allowed to remain! WTF. |

I'd imagine that advertisers who were paying for ad space on the CGC forums would be pretty ticked right now to know that the traffic on the forums is being affected.

BTW, I always felt like you were probably one of the few people on the planet who could sympathize with me about how difficult the job of forum moderation is. You're damned if you do and damned it you don't...someone is always going to be upset with you.  There's also a ton of work behind the scenes that very few, if any, are ever aware. I'd imagine that advertisers who were paying for ad space on the CGC forums would be pretty ticked right now to know that the traffic on the forums is being affected. Nooo. That's inexcusable. You guys were doing the good work, keeping out dregs like that. He's on the Discord of course, where people are just going with it. I wish I was admin so I could ban him, after I found out his current shill accounts. And Roy, you got banned for insulting a deceased member of the boards, while their family was watching, for trying to drag his tragic passing into your COVID deaths conspiracy. You justly copped 6 months for that. Many of us asked Mike to make it permanent, so you should count yourself lucky. |

Thanks for all the time you gave us working the boards, beyond the moderation. And the moderation too, as it was for the most part fair. I'm sorry I couldn't give much in the GoFundMe, I'm due in hospital 2 and ½ hours away in a little under a week, (2 trips there and back actually, but one is just to see a doctor) they're completely changing one of my sleeping tablets and ALL of my painkillers, which is at least 4 meds, could be more depending on their interpretation of some of my pills. It won't be an easy few weeks, and unfortunately I've got expenses getting prepared for that, that I can't miss out on. I'm sorry Mike, but I did what I could. |

I'm more concerned about you than my rehab (though it will be hell, I'm told, but I hope she was exaggerating), but still, that's secondary to how you're doing. Hopefully enough will have been raised to see you guys out through Christmas, at least. That might be a bit wishful thinking on my end, it can be difficult switching between currencies, especially at 4am when your sleeping tablets are slowly kicking in, haha. But hopefully we'll be able to see you through Christmas and New Years. |

I'm glad you called it a conspiracy though, and not a conspiracy theory, because the theory has been proven and everyone can now see clearly that it was a full on conspiracy. The election in the USA was a referendum on the pandemic, and it spoke loud and clear that the conspiracy needed to be cleaned up. You're welcome. Now stop trying to create an argument. |

I just tried to post at CGC, and can't. It let's me sign in, but quote and reply don't work. Hi Ditch  I have glanced over here from time to time, but never signed up. I did that now to thank you for making the offer to members to join and to thank you for posting the link for Mike's thread. The timing on this board mess is not convenient, we were in the midst of a helping thread, but life is not often convenient.
Kav, I have expected to see you back on the other boards, for months...nice to see you are thriving here.
