I was actually going to start a thread to ask who the moderators are and if there has been any moderator action taken in the last 3 or 4 days since Mike was canned - registry, website or otherwise, as it seems there aren't ANY. The Forums aren't working today for me, so I can't seem to reply or quote anything or even start a thread. The screen just jumps to the top of the page when I try to reply to someone. Is this the Invision meltdown happening in real time now that Mike isn't patching it up? Is anyone else having trouble posting over there?

I can't get the site to work on my phone or computer, either. Again.

That place is starting to unravel quick. Made the decision to stick with the plan and do another culling and listing items. I purposely decided to stay in and start that process while the Tyson Paul fight and undercard were on tonight. I said it in the threads, I do not see that place lasting another few years. I tried multiple browsers on various devices and it will not load in. The ability to start a thread exists but once created it cannot be replied to.

Sounds like everyone is having problems with the site today. Sharon started a thread about it: boards.cgccomics.com/topic/540288-board-issues-try-signing-on-to-mozilla/

I think Mike was the crappiest moderator I've ever seen. Giving strikes to ppl who pointed out MetalPis's new shill account was a new low in moderation. Then he had to ban him again anyway. And again. Who got done for that? They should have been rewarded for taking out the trash. He's now been banned at least 4 times that we know of. Guarantee he's snuck back in with the change of moderation, or at the least, created a new back-up shill. Mike had his moments where he failed to make sense, but often given a day he'd have thought about whatever it was and reconsidered. Often. Not always. Often. Roy, he failed the boards by going a bit slacker on you, and every other poster there knows it. It's a moot point though, as moderation is as existent as the boards are accessible. I think it's dumb to celebrate his absence. We've got nothing as a replacement, so when there are board issues, like now, Mike would have at least been on top of it. Matt G doesn't care. He didn't care enough about the stupid Grading Contest to learn the basics of what he was supposed to be doing.

Roy, he failed the boards by going a bit slacker on you, and every other poster there knows it. It's a moot point though, as moderation is as existent as the boards are accessible. How did he go 'slacker' on me when he banned me for 6 months for simply using the notify button to notify when people were trolling on me? Mike's largest problem with his moderation was that he was SUBJECTIVE not OBJECTIVE. He didn't moderate bad behavior, meaning what people actually DID. He moderated what he thought people were trying to do. He moderated what he thought the intent of a poster was, which makes it a subjective call not an objective one, and subjective calls are going to be inherently inaccurate at best and eventually, always contradict themselves. He can't read minds, and it wasn't his job to. What he should have been doing all along was moderating bad behavior, which is objective and logical and doesn't contradict itself, which he refused to do until the Meyers law suit was won. As soon as CGC lost the law suit to the Meyers, they changed how they started moderating the forums. They started NOT ALLOWING CONTENTIOUS BEHAVIOR, proving that it could be done, and this should have been the gold standard all along. They probably did this to avoid culpability for any other grievances stemming from their chat boards. And frankly, this is what I've been pushing for, for 4 years. It took someone else's law suit to prove me right. The only reason I got so many strikes was because Mike allowed some people (like myself, Kav and RMA) to get trolled in one direction but didn't allow us to defend ourselves. As soon as Mike started moderation contentious behavior, I never got another warning again, despite being heavily invested in some topics. That was the problem all along.
