Yes, this is where you become most vulnerable by disclosing and we learn a lot about you on a personal level!
1. Steve Winwood - Back in the Highlife
2. Erasure - Total Pop!
3. Donna Summer - Bad Girls Deluxe Edition
4. Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar
5. Rob Zombie - Mondo Sex Head (remixes)
Ha, my favorites tend to change upon what mood I am in, so don't read too much into my selections.

I go through phases
I might spend a year listening to metal, and another to trance.
For instance, I've been listening to a lot of In Flames older stuff lately, mixed in with Suicidal Tendencies, while I am driving I'll be listening to old Paul Oakenfold releases. Then the random Rammstein song while working out
Previous years, I would be listening to Carcass non stop, then Primus, then Metallica, and on and on.
No seriously favorite albums or songs, just a big mash up of bands I enjoy. Don't have a top 5 bands either Or top 5 genres. Such a wide selection of music, the only things I cannot tolerate is country and most hip hop or rap.

I go through phases as well, pop, disco (yes disco), metal, classic rock, etc. Next week I might be into Michael Jackson again.

Nice Siggy! I almost put Pink Floyd - The Wall on my list. Me too, but the guitar solo for Time was the deciding factor. While the solo for Comfortably Numb is awesome (Gilmour is one of our favorites), Time has one you can sink your teeth in!

As I grew older (and lame ) individual albums became less important than the overall artist's body of work. My top albums list would likely be at least 20-30 deep at minimum, and I'd be leaving off some great choices from past years. Subject to change with the mood, and in no particular order: Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon Iced Earth- Alive in Athens Black Sabbath- toss up between Sabbotage and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Led Zeppelin- The Song Remains The Same YES- Close To The Edge I could probably live with two of those on my list.

Yes, this is where you become most vulnerable by disclosing and we learn a lot about you on a personal level! Just noticed this thread. Is it supposed to be my Top 5 embarrassing albums or just all time top 5? There's nothing embarrassing bout my Top 5 but for you guys I would list a few embarrassing ones.

My top five would probably be five Rush albums but for the sake of this thread I'll omit them. In no particular order.... Sting - Ten Summoners Tales (loved it from the first listen and still do) Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime (might be my favorite metal album of all time) Incubus - S.C.I.E.N.C.E (I wish Incubus had maintained the energy they had on this album. Instead they went the wuss route) Kings X - Please Come Home Mr Bulbous (another one I loved from the first listen and still do) Beatles - Abbey Road (My parents had a copy when I was very young. It's imprinted on my brain for all time) Honorable Mentions Rik Emmett - Live At Berklee (great album showcasing many different eras of his solo career. Rik banters and interacts with the audience a lot. Just a plain fun album to listen to) Spock's Beard - V (prog at its best) Kings X - Any of their first four albums Beatles - Revolver and the White Album Live - Throwing Copper Alice In Chains - Dirt Triumph - Thunder Seven and Surveillance

This is very difficult for me. I have a wide and varied taste in music, however tend to favour the heavier end of the spectrum. This means albums by bands I love, e.g. Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Stray Cats, Pink Floyd, Spice Girls aren't going to get a mention in my top 5.
To make things easier, I'm going to limit this to one album per band.
1. Helmet - Meantime. Without a doubt, the single most influential album on post-80s metal. 2. Metallica - Master of Puppets. The first four albums were all great but this one just pips the others for great song writing and masterful musicianship. 3. Slayer - Reign in Blood. 10 fast and furious songs in just under 29 minutes. Slayer at their very best. 4. Shai Hulud - Hearts Once Nourished with Hope and Compassion. First full length album from the much overlooked metalcore band. 5. Kerbdog - On the Turn. A lighter, more tuneful affair than the above, this album has a unique sound combining elements of post-hardcore, metal and grunge, all wrapped up in a heavy blanket of Husker Du.
