Finally finished American Horror Story: Asylum after putting it off for a year or two. One reason I didn't bother watching was because I learned of the {AHS S2 Spoiler}alien stuff that was part of the whole 'twist' of the season, but it turned out that it didn't even play that significant of a role in the plot. Which is good, because it kept the show from being distracted from the characters, which are some of the best writing I've seen yet. The ending was satisfying too, {AHS S2 Ending Spoiler}no campy happy endings, not to mention having a bookend that ties things up nicely. And just in time too, because my Netflix free trial is almost up. I've heard some negative things about season 3, Coven, however, so I'm not sure if I'll continue my subscription just to binge-watch the rest of the series. Money's getting tight, and the Netflix catalog for Singapore just isn't satisfying enough. That said, I might consider strongly, since I still haven't finished Daredevil S2, and of course, S3. I guess I could also watch the other lesser shows like Scream and Slasher after I'm done with that, but there just aren't a lot of shows I'm keen to watch on Netflix that I couldn't watch anywhere else.

Almost near the end of Daredevil S3. Finished up episode 10 and understood where all the hype of this season was coming from. Damn, that final shot was a nice reversal of {Daredevil Comic Spoiler}"Born Again". The episode definitely tried to throw the audience off on several counts, from its thumbnail to its foreshadowing. So glad I renewed my Netflix subscription. It's a shame that we won't be seeing another season of Daredevil for a long time to come though.

I'm currently re-watching Star Trek TOS. I'm 2/3s of the way through Season 2 and it's just as good as I remember, despite the poor special effects. But don't worry, I'm not going to bore you all with an episode-by-episode breakdown of the series. I'm sure you remember it. We are, are we not, all Star Trek geeks? Yes, far better than that other franchise I could mention.
The aspect of the show I'm enjoying the most is when the officers step up and take command of the Enterprise. Kirk (who usually beams down to the planet) leaves Spock or Scotty in command, depending on who he takes with him in the landing party. It's great just watching them make those difficult command decisions with the same confidence as the Captain. In the episode "Catspaw" Kirk, Spock, Scotty, and Sulu are all on the planet, leaving Assistant Chief Engineer DeSalle in command. Despite the wooden acting, the character steps up and takes charge without a hint of inexperience, even putting Chekov in his place when he's about to step out of line. That's a character they should've worked on but sadly it was his last appearance.

Pretty much. (Recent Conversation) Other Person: What are you watching? Me: Star Trek: Discovery. Other Person: Is it any good? Me: No, it's awful. Other Person: Well then why are you watching it? Me: Cuz it's Star Trek. Duh. I'll be watching this too.

I was considering getting it on Blu-Ray after the price comes down. Should I give it a miss?
Recently finished up Enterprise and I have to say, it was pretty good. Maybe not the last episode which was completely ruined by Ryker and Troi, and the spectacularly naff demise of Trip, but the rest was good.
I have concerns over the Picard series. What sort of arty nonsense are they going to shoehorn in? I half expect him to have retired from Star Fleet and spend his days tending to his vineyard

Bats - Do you watch the Graham Norton Show? Occasionally. He's not as funny as he used to be. I'm hesitant to ask... what have I missed?

Patrick Stewart was recently on, and was very hush hush about the show. He cleverly got away with nothing more than confirming that he's reprising his role as Picard.

Norton's show is all very pre-determined. Stars sign up to talk about their latest venture and nothing else. The fact he confirmed he was reprising the role is a miracle. It's funny but when I saw Stewart do a talk at a ST Con, he all but said he was glad to be rid of the role.
Going back to Norton, I once sat through an hour of The Rock and he didn't once mention anything about Black Adam. But I can see why now
