For me, in no particular order...and sometimes I go long periods of time before I binge watch them all to catch up...
This Is Us - The first season was great, and a real tearjerker. The second season has just been good. The CHI - I like it a lot. Counterpart - Parallel universe spy thriller stuff. Really good. Here and Now - Great show. It's a mystery as to what is really going on. I won't spoil it for you. Homeland - This season is full of political intrigue and somewhat mirrors real-life. I never miss this show. High Maintenance - Very funny show, and makes fun of wing-nuts. Jessica Jones - Haven't seen the new season yet, but I plan to binge watch it at some point. Crashing - Show about stand-up comedy. Usually pretty funny stuff. OtherAltered Carbon - Loved it! It you love Blade Runner, this is the show for you. So well done. Left me wanting more. This was probably the best SF I've seen in years. Supernatural - After all these years of watching, it finally got too corny even for me (I cut it loads of slack in the past.  ), so I stopped watching. Superhero Shows - I used to watch them all. Now?...stick a fork in me. Too much of a good thing, and in many cases done really poorly. Seem like it's all or nothing in Hollywood. I wonder who else has reached saturation levels?

Altered Carbon was amazing.I can't say enough about it!Sort of along the same lines I have really been enjoying Electric Dreams.
My guilty little secret is watching hours of the Goldbergs at a time.

Dunno if it's considered a series or not, but currently watching The Incredible Dr. Pol
I was watching Shameless, but caught up, and have to admit the last 3 seasons have been total crap.
Wifey is watching Homeland, Orange is the new Black, and a bunch of others.
I'm hoping to be out on the road again in a month, so won't be watching too many series. I want to pick up Norm Macdonald's new show that should be hitting Netflix this year or next. I suppose I'll take up watching Conan O'Brien in the meantime. I don't get the channel in my package now, but I know the hotels do. I also catch up on his show through his website

The Beeb have been pretty patchy of late. I watched all 6 episodes of Requiem earlier this year... What started as a fine is it/isn't it supernatural series, it was let down by a lazy, uninspired ending.

That's true of so many shows lately. I think they shoot their wad in the first few episodes to sell the series, but the writers haven't really thought the whole story through in case it's actually picked up. For most shows that fail, it's almost always the writing that causes it; even in the face of big budgets, excellent acting and adequate (or even excellent) special effects. |
