I've been thinking about doing two things with this game: 1) Adding a $10K badge to the TCBF StoreThis badge wouldn't give any special privileges like the Veteran Collector badge, but it would let everyone know you had amassed $10,000. It would only be available to Veteran Collectors. It would be purchased in the TCBF store for $10,000, and I would refund that amount 'manually' back to you so it wouldn't interfere with your collecting. 2) Adding non-VCG, non-collecting items to the storeJust brainstorming here, but I thought it might be fun for those who aren't playing the VCG game to be able to buy stuff to put in their profile. These would be non-collecting items. They could be anything: food items, hobby-related items (aquarium with fish ), I don't know...anything. Again, just brainstorming...maybe it's a dumb idea. Let me know what you think. I think both of those are great ideas. Especially the aquarium It's a fun idea for those not virtual collecting. If we get a Gif-tank, I'd be tempted to quit buying virtual comics

Oh...almost forgot. 3) Staff Wages for Hosted GamesI have to avoid anything the requires me to be here on a regular basis, otherwise I'd probably be hosting a lot of games and stuff to keep the place interesting and fun. But the software DOES allow me to pay a Staff Wage (which means I don't have to be here to do a paycheck). So if any of you want to earn some extra dough, you could host one of the games (Guess That Comic, Grading Game, etc) on a regular basis and get $ for it. If anyone's interested, just let me know and we'll discuss. There could be a sign-up, rotation kinda thing if there were more than one of you interested. Anyway...just brainstorming again. I like this idea. If anyone's interested, I can say it's a good laugh!

Okay...I've spent the last hour farting around with the software to add a new feature... GAMBLING. It's called The Ditch Dare. Anyone can play, even if you don't participate in the VCG. Hopefully it adds a little fun to the already-existing game. It can be found in the TCBF Store under ASM Comic Books (1-30) at the bottom. Here's the description... I calculated the price using basic statistics. The price was set to the amount where EV=0. If you remember your Statistics class from High School or College, it looks like this... And to test the software to make sure it was functioning correctly, I tried it three times. Each time I bought 100 Ditch Dares and calculated the net gain or loss. Here are the results... 1) Net loss of $2,857.00 2) Net gain of $1,171.50 3) Net gain of $4,453.25 So...it works as expected. PS - If you're new to this, the book will appear in your profile. To convert the book to money, just click on it and select 'Refund.'

PPS - In case it wasn't entirely clear, Ditch Dares cost $163.27, so depending on the random book you get, you can lose as much as $143.77, or gain as much as $1,431.73 for each Ditch Dare you purchase. Check out the spreadsheet for details.

So...it works as expected. PS - If you're new to this, the book will appear in your profile. To convert the book to money, just click on it and select 'Refund.' Do you get 100% of the book's value on the "refund" option?

Do you get 100% of the book's value on the "refund" option? Yes. All items in the VCG have a 100% value refund guarantee. So...if you want to buy a book to see how it looks in your profile for awhile and then return it for full value later, it's no problem.

I added a new gambling game called Roll The Die. It's only $10 to play. I think it's self-explanatory. I also created a new Gambling Category for all the gambling games - who knows, we might make more later.

Here is $50 to try out the new Roll The Die game. If you accept this money, there are two caveats... 1) You must use this in the Roll The Die game. 2) You must report back to this thread with your 5 results. To get your fiddy clams...click on the money, scroll to the bottom of your screen and accept the money. I'll leave this gift active for a few days. Anyone can play.

Here are my results: I purchased six instead of five because I was so lucky tonight. 1) 5 - $20 2) 6 - $30 3) 6 - $30 4) 4 - $10 5) 5 - $20 6) 4 - $10 I'll leave the die in my profile (without getting the refund) for awhile so you can see what they look like. If you hover over them, it shows the quantity.
