It's called "English" and you'd do well to remember it's on loan   I had a co-worker, an old fart, who always bitched up a HUGE storm when he'd hear the British use an old word that we in America have turned into something (usually) derogatory (i.e. "fag"). That is some seriously big time arrogance that really blows my mind every time I see it.  That reminds me of my old primary school teacher who was an opinionated lady of retirement age, shall we say. She was up on her soapbox about the "degradation of the English language" saying how the introduction of "American words" was turning English into "absolute trash"  We never use the word "trash"... we say "rubbish". That was incredibly funny, even to a class of 11 year olds who were always looking over their shoulder for the hand that clouts.

I do hope you guys are testing these on carpets.An old school friend of mine got a job selling Kirby vacuums back in the early 90s. He did a demo for my parents... Man, that thing had some suck to it! The crap that came out of their carpet was eyebrow raising! |
