Hey,is that a pressing machine I see in your icons? Can it improve grades? In many cases, yes. It also makes a handy-dandy area heater for those cold Winter months. I meant in the game!

Ditch, could we still gift someone some dough?I can't remember how. I wish we could because then it would allow trading and selling and other stuff. But what I learned last time was donations = butthurt. Last time, some people who weren't playing were donating to people who were. Some of the players thought it was unfair and were pretty upset about it. In fact, a couple actually left the board over it. And, of course, they were upset with ME about it and I got to listen to their complaints. That was fun. Soooo...yeah...this time around...no donations.

Comic book collectors can be very competitive about stuff at times. Cracks me up.

On the flip side (I won't mention his name because I don't want to embarrass him), one really sweet person didn't want to play the game because he didn't want to compete against his friends and he worried about hurting their feelings.

Wow.I'm not that nice It would've been nifty if that press could improve(or possibly damage)books.Like a lottery thing. I wonder how everyone from before's stocks would be performing?(my mind goes the darndest places) May I request a higher grade Tales To Astonish 48 please?

That's what I had planned, but I can't think of a way to fully automate the process so I don't have to get involved. That feature no longer works, unfortunately. Sure. Post a request in the request thread and I'll get to it when I can. Tax season and is here, so it will be a while.

Hey Guys, I'm going to make a few BIG changes to the VCG game to make it more fun, especially for newer players. At first, we had a lot of people playing the two paid games, but that's tapered off to almost nothing now. I'm guessing people just grew tired of them, which is totally understandable - I know I get tired of playing the same games after a while. But this changes things because the paid games were a major source of earnings in the VCG game. So, I need to adjust for this or we'll lose VCG players. Also, without paid games, it's an uneven playing field favoring those who already have large bank accounts since they are currently earning 1% per day on big balances. My experience with this game tells me that the game, and the forum in general, is more fun with more active posting - so, I'm going to try to make more incentives along those lines. So, here are the big changes: 1) Posts in the 'Everything Else' category will change from $0.50/post to $2.50/post. If you make 10 posts, you earn an immediate $25. If you make 20 posts, you earn an immediate $50. Etc. There is no limit on the number of posts you can make. 2) Bank interest will change from 1% per day to 10% per year.3) Paid games will be de-monetized and go back to being just regular games without paychecks. The only thing that won't be allowed is sequential posting for the express purpose of racking up a bunch of posts quickly. You know, like posting 1, 2, 3, 4; or posting one smiley after another. If I see it, or it's reported, I'll subtract money. There are tons of threads to post in, and new threads are easily created, so it shouldn't be difficult to earn money at $2.50 per post. Don't forget, this game is only applicable to the 'Everything Else' category. Posts made in other categories do not earn money.

Okay, changes are now implemented. Hopefully, this will be more fun for everyone playing. I'll make a final paycheck for previously-earned amounts in the paid games later this weekend.
