I'd rather see a realistically drawn hot woman than what Campbell does. Me too, but you and I are in the minority.

Woo hoo, love it! But who are the paying Liefeld that type of money? Is it just the movie related stuff, or do these Millennials actually think he's a good artist?

I think if one were nine years old in 1993, it was Liefeld's covers that would grab their attention. I'd also say there's a distinction between liking someone's art and that artist being considered 'good'.

This is an excellent example for the proponents of windows. Stan signed right over Perez' signature.

Good. This discriminatory bull by these creators charging a "slabbing surcharge" won't end until people refuse to pay it. These assholes think they deserve a cut of your property, should you decide to sell...? Screw them. Liefeld charged nothing for almost everything as recently as 2013. It's beyond absurd now. While this guy's anger is misdirected at CGC a bit, I applaud his decision. CGC and CBCS have got to stop fostering this whole "well, you know, the creators can charge whatever they want, and that's just the way it is" bull . Yes, they can (and should) charge whatever they want...but charging a SURCHARGE because of what YOU plan to do with YOUR property, that the creator had NOTHING to do with looking for, obtaining, paying for, storing for however long, prepping, and submitting is real, actual greed, when the actual service they're providing...a signature...isn't any different, and requires no additional effort by the creator. CGC and CBCS haven't gotten it through their heads that encouraging this discriminatory practice HARMS them because they get FEWER subs, with no counterbalancing BENEFIT to be had.

Isn't that called capitalism? Aren't the artists allowed to charge what the market will bear? Isn't this just sour grapes on your part?

What sort of influence could a third party grading company have that would affect a creator's decision to add a slabbing surcharge(or not)? Quite a bit. They are in a unique position to explain to creators the process; why books are graded, and how, and the costs involved, as well as just who benefits from the SS program, and in what ways. They could also (and should, since it affects their bottom line) refuse to allow facilitators to add "slabbing surcharges", and disallow the "exclusive" arrangements that people have been trying to get for the last several years, promising creators big cash payouts in the process.
