Some dude. Great autographs Scott! Some great artists there. This reminds me of a signature question. I'm finally going to meet Chris Claremont and was wondering if anyone knew how he reacts to being asked to sign a GSX #1? Does he do it? Does he get pissed if asked? Any info could help

Good question. He has no credit in the book, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Neal Adams signed a tpb of mine to which I for some reason thought he contributed. I think I mixed him up with Frank Miller. Anyway, he signed it without pause, but then he got $50 for it. I imagine he'd sign my butt for $50
My Neal Adams cherry is completely busted, no more money for him. I'm starting to think I'm going to limit my convention acquisitions to autographs, sketches, and an occasional OA page. That was an expensive week[end].

The story I've heard is that Claremont contributed to the plot of GSX by suggesting the island itself be a living mutant/alien to wrap up the story IIRC. I'm wondering if it pisses him off that he didn't get a credit or if he's happy people know about his contribution.

Mentioning you're aware of it should remove any sting he might feel when you ask. Can't imagine any irritation would be directed at you. And at the very least he might confirm what you heard (first time for me learning this).

Found it, I got the story right but the details wrong: www.cbr.com/x-men-giant-size-chris-claremont-secret-assist/
