So I'm sure you've heard the bad things that people say about Jack Kirby's New Gods and it always struck me as peculiar - every time I read the series... it seems so straight forward to me. None of the dialogue seems weird to me (at least no weirder than 'the Teardrop Explodes' or Stan Lee calling Muhammad Ali 'Cassius Clay' in 1970!!!
So I thought I'd share... issue by issue... and let people reread it and see for themselves.
I think it was GREAT. It's a shame it was cancelled at issue #11 (after 4 issues at 25 cents, it had to have hurt sales)... it would be like the Fantastic Four ending at issue #11... it just wouldn't be the same. What Kirby started here was an EPIC unlike anything we'd seen in mainstream comics. What could you possibly compare it to?
Anyway... let's begin and let the action speak for itself...

Roy returns only to have his silly propaganda post from Instagram a removed item. . Let me guess... vaccines aren't just giving people heart attacks, they've morphed into giving movie execs a 'woke' mind. The End is Near!!! Blackrock is behind it all! Yawn.

Heh - side note. I had a nice long conversation with Larry Hama one year. He has some incredible Vince Colletta stories, some of which have been told online and some of which should best remain private . Like how he ran afternoon rendevous' with women out of his apartment?

In other words: IT's TOO HARD TO DO. No. You said that I said it was too hard to do. Period. As in it was too difficult to ever do. I always stated that it was too hard to do right now for all the reasons we've discussed. No, Roy. You are WRONG. It DOESN'T mean 'to ever do'. If I MEANT that, I would have said, "You think it's too hard to EVER do." I didn't. What language do they speak in Canada? Are you still learning the English language?

Your first post on it: I don't think most average people can think in terms of complex systems.
Just like examining a 2D painting is different for AI, putting a metal fender in place on an assembly line is different than picking up a comic book, turning the pages and assessing them all.
You might eventually be able to make it happen in the distant future with NASA type tech, but by then all human labor will have been replaced.
I think the challenge is in the complexity of how fine of a handling touch is needed, complicated by the the diverse methods of analysis AND cost structure to make it viable. These are all going to be obstacles and making them all work together?
You can do one thing well, but tying all of those things together is space age stuff. In other words: IT's TOO HARD TO DO. You're embarassing dude. From the start you said it was too hard to do. 'Space Age Stuff'. 'Cost effective'? That's means it's STILL saying it's TOO HARD TO MAKE HAPPEN. Go back to what you do best: Posting BS about vaccines and News Stories straight from the Republican Handbook. No. Too hard to do now. Otherwise, they'd already be doing it. In other words: IT's TOO HARD TO DO.

Roy, I don't want to get into a back and forth either, so let's not. You asked a question...I tried my best to answer it. Let's get back to the original thread discussion. I don't want a back and forth either. I'm just asking for clarification on the rules as they are not clear. What is considered non-participation? Do I need to leave a thread permanently? Avoid contact with troublesome members for a predetermined period of time? I just want to know where the goalposts are. Nothing more. What he's saying is, that this is a message board for ADULTS and sometimes that conversation is going to get snarky. Just because Princess Roy doesn't like it, he doesn't get special consideration over anyone else. If the mods see something they think steps over the line, they'll deal with it. But they're not going to be manipulated by you, or bullied by you, or guilted by you, just because you think you're above everyone else. You give shade just as much as anyone else. You post misinformation and blantant LIES on a daily basis, and guess what? Maybe some people think you need someone to tell you just how FULL OF CRAP YOU ARE. You post an OPINION and someone disagrees. You don't like it. You cry to moderation. They tell you to stop being a baby and deal with it. You have two choices: Man up or keep being a baby. So far, you just keep being a baby. Life Lesson: Someone disagreeing with your BS, ISN'T abuse. It's common sense. It's the DAILY workings of a Message Board.

In other words, it's too difficult to do. We're not in the future. So AT THIS TIME, you see it as too difficult to do. Got it. That's what I said. You really are a shady used car salesman in every way. Cutting someone's sentence in half to misrepresent what they said is as shady as it gets. I never do that. You're trying to create a 'gotcha' moment where there isn't one. Why don't you add a link to the entire discussion? Your first post on it: I don't think most average people can think in terms of complex systems.

I'm not conflating anything. What I stated was that it was too difficult to do profitably and efficiently based on all the variables involved AT THIS TIME. In other words, it's too difficult to do. We're not in the future. So AT THIS TIME, you see it as too difficult to do. Got it. That's what I said. You really are a shady used car salesman in every way.

Duh. Posted December 23, 2023 on the CGC Forum: Roy: "After discussing this for several hours I am fairly certain most people have no clue how complex of a solution that's being proposed this is." Posted December 24, 2023 on the CGC Forum: You agreed with this post and nested it: Roy: In regards to not having any bias: On 12/23/2023 at 9:06 AM, JC25427N said: This is insanely harder than you make it sound Posted December 24, 2023 on the CGC Forum: Roy: "Just the topic of scanning and interpreting images, (and this post doesn't even touch on how the book will be manipulated for scanning) is pretty complex." You're conflating multiple things. You always do this. There are multiple roadblocks to using AI for a final product. Reread the thread. It's all detailed there...in detail. I'm not conflating anything. You specifically said 'it's complex', i.e. HARD TO DO. It was your whole point. You're as much of a con man in debate as you are in comic book buying and selling.

Where's the proof they're staged? NONE. Did you watch the video? Yes. There is NO PROOF those protesters were staged. The orginal photo doesn't pretend it's a large crowd or make any insinuation that it is. In fact, it looks like two protestors pointing out the obvious. It's the right's way of trying to blur the issue of the protestors point.

"But it's too hard to grade comics with AI!!!" I never said it was too hard. Quote me correctly. Duh. 2 staged people + 30 network cameras = dozens (if not hundreds) of news headlines around the world. And it's all fake. This is how the public is being manipulated by the news around the world. Learn to see past it. Where's the proof they're staged? NONE. The 30 cameras would be there anyway for Trump. YOU are the fake news.
