Fun couple hours in the Junk Shop this afternoon, went through 20 long boxes of comics. Based on the contents, the proprietor probably paid $25 a long or so. Ended up with a short box of mishmash and used up the rest of my store credit. All tolled, I delivered 8 long boxes of random comics to him over the past three months and fished out tons of great stuff from the Junk Pile - omnibuses, trades, vintage magazines, vintage paperbacks, tons of comics, etc., etc.  |

Went to a local comic show on Sunday, first show I've been to in awhile. Found a couple dozen post-2000 big 2 newsstand issues. Lots of books in the room, seemed like people were buying. Not very crowded but an all ages crowd.

And then Monday morning I'm minding my own business on the train heading into work and I get the cash register chime on the eBay app on my phone. My childhood comics buddy from my hometown bought some comics, out of the blue!  |

Did a quick spin around the local outdoor flea market Sunday morning. It was cold and blustery and my fingers were going numb flipping through long boxes. Found a few horror mags including a couple Vampirellas, and a handful of comics. Not too much in my price range. Anything priced out and bagged and boarded I just have a quick flip and skip usually. A "bargain" from those sellers is usually just a defect you don't see until you get home. No thanks. And I don't pay retail at flea markets, so....
