Hitting up a big flea market tomorrow morning, maybe I'll find something worthwhile. The hunt is my favorite part of collecting!

A big bust! It was more like a homeless encampment than a bustling flea market of yore.

Took a look in the box where I keep my "they're too ratty to be worth anything" castoffs. Hadn't been in there for a bit. Pulled out an ASM 361 second print that I graded out as a VG/F due to a miswrapped cover, staple pull tears at both staples and some assorted creasing, etc. Listed it on eBay yesterday and just sold it for $80! Woo, castoff pile!

Also pulled a Master of Kung Fu 17 out of there that is missing its Marvel Value Stamp. Looking for $20 for that one, why not.

Had a short list of sales this morning, first one was a garage sale about 2 miles from my house. I bought 55 comics for $220 and decided to quit while I was ahead!
Scored everything from a 12 cent Iron Man, bunch of Bronze Age Marvels (MOKF 19, Defenders 19, early Marvel Star Wars, Uncanny X-Men, couple first series What If issues, couple MTU), some Carnage Spider-man issues, ten McFarlane Spideys, modern newsstands including a Spawn over #100 which are hard to find, other Spawn issues, etc.

Woo, castoff pile! Had to take a return on this comic. The interior pages had that vertical rippling top/bottom edges that is common for this era of Marvel plus another big interior crease I didn't disclose. Buyer returned it in the same condition so I sent the refund no problem. I also relisted it with the interior issues included in the description and with some additional pics of the interior and called it a VG rather than my original grade of VGF. Kept the same $80 BIN price so we'll see what it does a second time around. 2490

I was in a discussion about this a few months back and we never really nailed down the reason or when the rippling occurred or got very far in exploring the various paper types used when/after newsprint was falling out of favor. I’ve been keeping an eye out for old articles on this in places like TCJ, CBG, and the soapbox/loc’s in the comics themselves because I know I read about this at the time. The consensus was this would be treated as a production defect(like gripper holes). I’d like to get Kevin76 or Dice’s thoughts about this.

Like Jimmers said it's an early 90s Marvel Comic's issue, I haven't seen it with other publishers. I have to believe that a proper press would fix it and that it would be downgraded by CGC to some extent at least.
RockMyAmadeus also had some thoughts on it if I recall correctly.

I’ll reach out to him. Kind of glad I was reminded of this topic again. edit: When I said “when it occurred” I was meaning more as to when in the production process the rippling occurred, not so much the years. Beyond the basics, I’m still a relative novice when it comes to printing.
