hah It's not me. Although I was toying with that idea today to get rid of the remainder of items in this house that I 'inherited'. I would've had a garage sale long ago but I don't want the comic degenerates I encounter regularly around here to know my home address. Just being safe. Oh I would not be selling comics. It would be a traditional garage sale. I have old lamps and other things from the 1940's in my basement. No one else in the family wants them and when I bought the place it was contents included except for a few things like the bedroom set which, while expensive mahogany, was not my taste and my Aunt was welcome to take it. I would not sell comics from my driveway for the same reason. I am thinking of redoing the basement and want to clear out the 'storage stuff'.

Around last January or February when the guys from the Bellmore show took up residence in the hall that's just south of Merrick Rd (In Seaford?) I stopped by to see Ted / Stinky and see how he was doing. He had recently closed the store around Christmas and was selling his remainder stock over there. Ted has known me for years and was telling his buddy that I should sell some of my books down there.
No. Uhhh I don't think that would go over so well. I could offer $500 books for $250 and people would still only want to pay $10.

I did go to Lakeside Deli in West Hempstead today for their Comics & Heroes Sunday Special. The owner of the deli is a comics guy, so the set up was deli case/counter on the left, comics on the right. He had another dealer set up as well, three or four six-foot tables of books plus a glass case (that's always there according to the owner). There were lots of great books available, including some hot moderns. Prices were high but they seemed willing to work with people. More for collectors than re-sellers. Got a bacon egg and cheese for the wife on my way out!

Got a bacon egg and cheese for the wife on my way out! That's not something you can normally do with a regular LCS.

I really love stuff and a non clutter, even a bare wall sends me right zoomy anxious,I need to make everyspace an art installment.

Got a bacon egg and cheese for the wife on my way out! That's incredible. How was the overall attendance, sales and what not? There were four or five guys shopping besides me, plus about 10 people came in for sandwiches and what not! There was one guy who was so annoying, asking the owner about the price on a book (it was $150 sticker on an ASM 38 I think). The owner said I could go $120 or so, and the guy responded thanks I have one I just wanted to know what I could get for mine! What a dick! The friend of the owner who set up had a bunch of books but I'm not sure how many he was selling. Mid-grade ASM 300 with a $500 price tag on it, She-Hulk 1 second series (the lavender cover one) with a $40 price tag on it, and on and on like that. The owner did announce that anyone buying $50 worth of comics would get a free hero! I bought 8 dollar comics, and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich!
