Not good. Maybe it has something to do with copyrights? Maybe Marvel was going to come out with their own version of Banana Splits like they did with Captain Marvel.

Um, I don't know how to feel about this. I grew up with these characters, and love the memories I have watching these guys cutting up all over the place. It was nice, good-natured, harmless fun. That part of me dislikes this "interpretation" of The Splits, and laments the passage of time and evolution of society in general.
And then there is the logician in me that sees this for the natural evolution of what is considered to be popular. Each new generation appropriates elements from previous generations and combines them with elements from their own experiences to form a new interpretation. Sometimes this has the effect of giving a character new life. Just look at Valiant, IDW, and Archie. All three of those publishers are taking old characters and breathing new life into them with new, fresh stories by younger writers and artists. It may not be to my taste, but I'm not young anymore and I've accepted that. I leave the new comics to the new fans, I'm fine with my "old man comics."

Um, I don't know how to feel about this. I feel just like I do with comics. I'll stick with the original. I keep meaning to look to see if the show is on dvd or vhs and have M.R. sign the case because he was one of the credited set artists.

When they stole the "Captain Marvel" moniker you mean... The rotters I find it very difficult to call Captain Marvel "Shazam". It's almost like I'm committing a crime. Anyway I'm Not sure about this whole Banana Splits thing. What next...? The Hair Bear Bunch joins the Green Lantern Corps...?

Out of all the characters that DC could revive, they choose the Banana Splits? And radically change them? I thought only Marvel was this stupid

Yes, the whole Captain Marvel thing where they used the name for their own. Warner owns the 70s Hanna Barbera characters and they've been putting them out in their own books the last couple years so anything is possible. We may get Anthro meets the Flintstones.

Yup. There have been Scooby Doo and Shaggy cameos on Teen Titans Go. Not sure how I feel about all that. Not that there's a bloody thing I can do about it
