as I said the movie was full of stuff we've seen over and over and over and over and over and- I'm glad you enjoyed it tho. It does kill drama tho when hero is joshin' around. Imagine clarice starling crackin jokes when hunting buffalo bill in basement- I think it was Spider-man that prepared me for that... growing up he was always wise cracking' while fighting. Like I said, I can see where some people wouldn't like it. I thought Thor: Ragnarok had WAY too much joking, so I guess it's just the level that people have a tolerance for! Its a blurry line-joking in a drama type film. John Mc Clane did it successfully in Die Hard. Spider man's character was always a bit of a jokester. so it can be done successfully. But having passengers on a bus joking around when they could die at any moment-thats different. that adds a sense of unreality and kills the drama. I mean imagine if the hostages in the nakatomi building were cracking jokes- I hope this makes sense.

Same thing with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness... I really enjoyed it - had ZERO pre-conceived notions about what was going on - I thought America Chavez was cool as hell (I was working with a lot of Latina's at the time and none of them had any idea it was a character in a COMIC BOOK) - It was fun to see Wong get in on the action... but like I said, the CGC Forum let me know I was an for liking it! .

I had a friend that actually HATED the idea of Spider-man joking as Doc Ock was getting ready to throw him off a building or something. Sometimes stuff just doesn't mesh for people in a story.

Having read the stupid stupid stupid utterly stupid America #1 comic I didnt want anything to do with watching a film containing her. As soon as she popped up I turned it off. That idiotic comic was a dismal failure but Marvel just kept shoving her in our face wherever they could. Just see how much of the comic you can stomach:

Just see how much of the comic you can stomach: Yeah, I don't read ANY mainstream comics at all and very few new comics - they all confuse me. Nobody seems to understand basic sequential story telling anymore. I can read most of that stuff for free as a member of Amazon Prime, but.. Batman, Spider-man, all the way to America Chavez... I just don't spend any time tying to read it. Sales of that peaked on issue #1 at only 43,000 and by #6 was at 9,500!!! Ouch. Ah, well. I still enjoyed the movie!

I dont read 'em either but this pile of dung was pointed out to me and i just had to see if the reports were true. they were. The book also contains bigoted comments and depictions of white people for an extra bonus.

dont watch this movie it is stupid. Wut a waste of a hour and a half. ending-he imagined the whole thing. the 'it was all a dream' ending-the poorest form of writing.
