Sounds like you're having a great time, Siggy! VERY much so, and I've barely wandered the floor. There's a crap load of stuff here I have no interest in, of course. I have zero interest in the toys and art prints or clothing or games so I hang around the OA tables, Artists Alley, & the Kirby Museum (mostly). I haven't bothered with the free goodies given away here. The Jack Kirby 100th birthday celebration with IDW handed out prints exclusive to the panel (they said). Always have to take those claims with a grain of salt. Around 4:00 I was really feeling the humidity and decided to call it a day. I hope I'm not missing much, but just can't get out there again. They're closing down 35 minutes anyway, so I'll try to get the last items of interest tomorrow. I still have the place card with name and the table number we were given for the awards (silly, I know), but then thought it would be cool if I got the creators seated with us to sign it. I'm pretty sure Ron Wilson and Keith Pollard will be at their tables tomorrow, and am hoping Joe Staton will be at his. Starlin appears to be here for the awards only, so that likely won't bappen, but I still got pics of him at the table. A photographer was wandering around taking pics of each table, so I need to look for that one since I'm obviously not in the ones I took, and I didn't think Starlin was a 'selfie' kind of guy Still haven't located Tim Vigil's table It's crazy here. You should've asked Starlin to take a picture with you in it... Sounds like a great Con. Hope you manage to get everything done today. If it's any help, Tim Vigil is at table II-08 in Artists Alley. Right in the corner of the exhibit hall. (Bottom left hand corner on the map).

Are you straight outta Compton...? Nope, straight outta Oakland. Question of interest... If you were travelling to San Francisco, is it quicker to go by car or boat?

I'd think boat since you're not driving through mountains and around curves. Plus sometimes the drive up on the 5 freeway is packed with minivans that love to go 60 MPH in the fast lane which adds more time to the drive.

Thanks I was interested to know as here we have similar considerations... Drive round or sail across? That Richmond-San Rafael bridge is most impressive!

Right in the corner of the exhibit hall. (Bottom left hand corner on the map). I've had some success using the map, but for some reason couldn't find him. I'm funny when it comes to seeing famous people. When I was very young, my parents told me a story after they returned from a trip to Reno. They were taking an elevator when Bill Cosby stepped in. They were both excited, but could see he was exhausted, so they left him alone. When he stepped off, he gave them an appreciative smile. Years later I heard Howie Long tell a story about him taking his two (then) young sons to a Lakers game. People kept approaching him for autographs, and one of his boys said, "I wish mom took us here instead". You could see how upset Howie was just retelling the events. This is why I left Keith Pollard alone when I saw him at the elevator. He also looked tired, leaning on the wall as we waited. Starlin was with his wife in a social setting, and I just didn't want to bother that. I guess I'd rather not take a photo with him, than take one and risk his annoyance and disrespect (for lack of a better word). I have my memory of our meeting, and will be happy with that.
