My wife also wants to know  Mine too My wife understands because I got her hooked on Vertigo books. Sandman, Stardust, Moonshadow, that kind of stuff. Worked like a charm! |

I like to read 'em.
Every single one.
The pedigree books I have in slabs I bought reader copies of..besides the Church I had to open to experience that 'smell'.

Get new comics every week too. so far i've read 36 of 38 boxes...I ahd a stack waiting when I got out of hospital,and spoilt myself a bit after.. I think i've read all my Gladstone EC reprints at least a dozen times...and each original. 🌭🌭 |

I've very difficult to say why I collect comics now but when I was younger, the thrill of trying to find that rare and obscure book was fun. The internet has taken a lot of that away since now it's all about having the money to make the purchase. The last book I truly had some fun in trying to track down was the original 2009 series of Zombie Tramp. After finding a copy of the 2nd/3rd print, I found a 1st print copy of #1. That 1st print copy is a tough book to find and it would have probably been impossible to find it out in the wild. Since purchasing those books, the "fun" has disappeared and collecting isn't as thrilling.
Now I'm just picking up cheap books to fill a run or just books with cool cover. I felt this same way years ago when I left the hobby but hopefully this time I continue to stay in the game.
