These two guys have quickly become my favorites when it come to comics podcasts. Not every episode is a winner, but they find interesting content to talk about. Not a moment of “investment” talk either, just comics or about comics.  Maybe I'll have to give them another chance, because I had a bad first impression of them in the CGC Snuff Film thread. I called them nimrods and made the meme that is my current avatar here. I thought they sounded like  and didn't watch the whole video. You did say they were hit or miss. They made huge mistakes on the CGC Snuff video. They have no expertise in opening slabs, and it showed. I wouldn't be surprised if they damaged the book while they were doing it. However, once you get past that section, their knowledge and discussion about the book is excellent. I'll watch anything they put out in the future (as long as it isn't about opening slabs). |

I never made it that far into the video because of my personal bias. I think the art and stories of most GA books are crap, of course. I "flipped through" the latter half of the video and saw them going through the book page by page and said no thanks. There's also something about the way they talk that bugs me, I can't really place it. I think they're speaking "man-child". |
