Of all the Stephen King films to remake, they remake Pet Semetary?
Are you kidding me?
With the abortion that was Dark Tower, you'd think King would have enough integrity to stop and think about what's going on.
An R rated, trilogy of The Stand? Absolutely An R rated, trilogy of The Tommyknockers? Sure, why not. For crying out loud, an R rated remake of Thinner? Totally watch that....
Pet Semetary was one of the GOOD King films, and there really aren't many...
I think the pinnacle of King's work would be a 4 hour long, R rated Salem's Lot.
It can be done, we have the technology, quit giving us crap after crap. IT sucked. Dark Tower SUCKED. This is going to suck.
Your books don't suck this bad, King. Give us the quality, or go home.

One of the few movies I thought was just as good, if not better, than the book, Pet Semetary. It was well done, both in acting and cinematography

It irritates me when my World Champions open the season but the game isn't on my usual channel and I have to listen to frickin A Rod on ESPN the whole game.

Shawshank Redemption rules all the King-based films. I can agree with that. The Stand is pretty good too, even if it doesn't totally follow the book but then again, there are parts of the book that could never have made it onto network television in 1994. It might be interesting to do a new version on a cable channel, like HBO. |
