It irritates me when a film or program is made without doing the research into military procedure. The military do not wear their caps indoors, and they do not go outside without it. They do not salute, or come to attention for non-commissioned officers. They do not salute indoors. The lower ranking personnel salutes the highest ranking officer, and does NOT drop the salute until the salute is returned. This is the one they almost never get right unless it's actually part of the story, such as in Dances With Wolves. And get a haircut.

I may have posted this before, but I can't stand it that movies have cars with headlights which never turn off. This has been going on since the early days of motion pictures. My reaction is almost primal, "Hey, your battery is going to be dead when you get back!" I guess they do it for the cinematic effect (however weak that may be). And, let's face it, new cars automatically shut off the headlights, so that's a double irritation in new movies. This is almost as bad as astronauts and divers with lights inside their helmets so moviegoers can identify the character inside.

Very much like the hero who can take a beating no human would survive but still get up and save the day.

Okay, so you know when I complained about pretentious people loving a film just for its "deepness" and absurd intellectualism? Well, I just left a forum because of the other extreme end of the spectrum. The "you're a unique snowflake" crowd is just as annoying, calling you out just because you enjoy films with a little more substance. You know what? humanity. people. And you. I've always hated people. Thanks for proving my goddamn point. And you know what? While I'm at it, forums are overrated anyway. Why did you think I've stopped posting my daily comic book covers? I think I'm done, officially, with people in general. I've always been a recluse and a hermit, and the only kind of social life I have is on the Internet and with forums because I at least don't have to see your face. But you know what, it. People suck, and I'm done with you. umm, good bye?

Starting to see the effects of children in front of screens their whole lives Remember the Star Trek episode All Our Yesterdays? The idea of using a time machine to live in the past is becoming more and more appealing every day.

The idea of using a time machine to live in the past is becoming more and more appealing every day. Haven't seen much of the original series, but after reading, yeah it would be nice.
People use the argument that all older generations look down upon the new with contempt and accuse them of being stupid, but in our case, I truly believe there is no real hope for the next generations. Technology has reached the point of social upheaval and the values and morals we once shared are annihilated. The very fabric of what being a human being, is being tested to the limit.

It irritates me when I don't follow a thread and then see in another thread where a poster has a FDQ moment and then quits the forum. It's even more irritating when I have to try to figure out when and what happened.
