I guess I should de-Halloweenify the forum today.

I guess I should de-Halloweenify the forum today. Are you going to want "Turkey" cover ideas? Also, a new member joined last night. Do we need a place for people to introduce themselves? I'd like folks to feel comfortable joining in.

I'd like folks to feel comfortable joining in. That's a good idea about an introduction thread. Wanna start one? I have the automated email set up to encourage introduction, but it directs them to this thread - I could easily change that. The new guy joined so he could PM me about slab problems. He showed me pics of a Creep Engine book after a free reholder into a Frankenholder case with waves (caused but the Creep Engine case) still present. I'll be talking to him later today. If he lets me, I'll post the pics.

That's a good idea about an introduction thread. Wanna start one? Yeah, I can start one. I'll add it here in CG unless you'd like it someplace else. As for covers, there's loads of them. There's of course a Comic Calvacade one, Lots of Walt Disney C &S's, a few Little Lulu's(I like #17 & 29), and quite a few Super Hero ones. There's a modern JSA #52 (or#54) that I've seen as a more recent example. I guess it depends if you want Turkeys, Pilgrims, or folks just sitting around a table. I couldn't think of any Archie's.

Thanks Steve!
The Welcome Thread looks great.
I'll change the Welcome email to reflect the change later today.
Thanks again.

Hey Ditch, FYI- Twice while on the site my home computer froze up last week, and a couple times here at work I lost the page and had to recover it. I know squat about computers, so I don't know if there's a relation.

I don't think it's related to the site, but I can't 100% rule it out. I've never heard of it happening before.

Are you going to put your Thor avatar up? Or is that just for the CGC board?

Are you going to put your Thor avatar up? Or is that just for the CGC board? I had that initially here. It was time for a change. Also...branding.

If they can make this stuff transparent enough to coat windshields, you can bet they will be billionaires and set a standard for all glass applications. If I had the ability to invest, I'd totally do it and present this idea and propel them to make it so.

After 10 years on the market everyone using this will be mutated. Don't say I didn't warn anyone.

I was going to add a scrolling Thanksgiving banner of Thanksgiving-related comic book covers, but it turned into a nightmare so I stopped.
Worked great in Google Chrome, but in Mozilla Firefox it wasn't smooth and looked friggin' awful.
Googled CSS fixes but nothing looked definite. I guess it's a known problem. Glad I stopped using Firefox a couple years ago. I noticed the forum text looks much better on Chrome as well.
